  1. Apples and oranges. "The Knight Bus" is no better or worse than the musical "styles" of ESB or RotJ; it is simply a different kind of piece.
  2. Yeah, absolutely. I can't think of any reason not to include the Emperor's theme.
  3. I like that heroic music when Hermione busts Sirius out of the tower prison.
  4. Garritan Personal Orchestra works for me, although I don't have the most critical of ears.
  5. Williams has 100+ films under his belt. I'm thinking just a little bit more than 24 hours of material.
  6. Is Professor Trelawney's Prediction even in this film?
  7. I believe Williams has hinted that it will resurface in Episode III.
  8. No, Voldemort has come very close to dying several times.
  9. I think Radcliffe's got it wrong. The prophecy states "Neither can live while the other survives," meaning one will have to kill the other eventually, but they needn't both die.
  10. "Quidditch, Third Year." "The Dementors Converge" is not strictly an action track.
  11. Strilo over at TFN reckons that some of the old themes show up in the film but not on the CD. Everything being said over here, though, contradicts that statement. Is he simply wrong?
  12. None of the dropped music featured the Imperial March, save for the beginning of "The Ice Planet Hoth," but then it was replaced by "The Imperial Probe," which also features it. And I don't see what makes the concert version fresher than the original "Aboard the Executor" (personally I think the latter is much better).
  13. Sounds like "your mom," or something. I gotta work on my loose translation.
  14. I did listen to the cue backwards, but it doesn't sound like it's going forward. That's good, though; it means Williams pulled off a reverse effect instead of just flipping the recording around!
  15. It seems like the typical Futurama show consists of a main theme fanfare and them some action music later on. They needed more underscore. But what music there is is good!
  16. He didn't. I was watching the credits after beating Hit & Run, and it definitely said "Marc" something. Then again, there were three assistant composers; Tyng could have been one of them.
  17. Well, unlike most of you, I don't have three trillion CDs to organize, so it's pretty easy. CD rack: actual CDs (five or six) on one side, empty cases (CDs are in my carrying case) on the other. The order is as follows: Star Wars, Harry Potter, other Williams soundtracks, Williams compilations, and miscellaneous. All CDs are backed up on my computer in MP3 form (completely unaltered in Backup/Soundtracks, improved/altered in My Documents/Music).
  18. Not true at all. Alf Clausen should do it. Or maybe that guy who wrote the music for The Simpsons Hit and Run (video game). I liked his work. Marc something, I think!
  19. At the moment I love "Secrets of the Castle," "The Portrait Gallery," "Quidditch, Third Year," "Forward to Time Past," and "Finale." My favorite cues rotate a bit...the only ones I'm sure will never be on there are "Lumos!," "Aunt Marge's Waltz," and "Lupin's Transformation and Chasing Scabbers." It sounds like the beginning of "Double Trouble" and the end of "Hedwig's Theme" were recorded separately and layered on top of each other, but the audio editors didn't quite match them up. That's interesting. I wonder what Nimbus 2000 and Hedwig's Theme underscore... (don't tell, I'd like to find out in a couple days!)
  20. Short and succinct: The Empire Strikes Back Themes Recurring Themes from Star Wars: - Luke's Theme (Main Theme) - Leia's Theme - Rebel Fanfare - Ben's Theme (The Force Theme) Major Themes: - The Imperial March (Darth Vader's Theme) - Yoda's Theme - Han Solo and the Princess (Love Theme) Minor Themes: - Droid motif - Lando's Palace - Bespin motif - Boba Fett motif
  21. Do you think the people who made that poll even know who John Williams is? :?
  22. I think I would change my vote to the first two minutes of "Mischief Managed!" if I could. The way the cue brings us back to the mystical, light-hearted world of the first two films with "Nimbus 2000"... (Not that I don't like this new style as well!) Then there's the orchestral version of "Double Trouble," which is excellent (my only qualm is the awkward transition between Hedwig's theme and "Double Trouble").
  23. That was probably the worst screensaver I've ever seen.
