  1. In fact.. thinking about it, there's no track on the OST that appears that exact same way in the film..
  2. Well.. I've been generally bored recently so I'm whipping together a Revenge of the Sith Complete score, which is a mixture of soundtrack material where I can use it along with rip from the movie audio when unreleased music occurs. Obviouslly, this means I'm having to essentially remake the edits that were made in the film and I must say, after listening closely, their are really some ATTROCIOUS edits Anyhoo... It's still turning out quite nicely and the transition from movie sound to OST sound is actually quite smooth... I'll be able to make it without (much) dialog when a 5.1 copy of the film gets around... I'm about half way through (more actually) .. so If anyone's interested just lemme know ... it's more of an interesting listen more than anything... but I'm sure a lot of "die hard" fans will be interested I've probably got more "unreleased" music in this than you might expect so don't dismiss it Actually, it may shock you, but the movie has been messed about with so much in the film, that in certain places, tracked music is Shifted in pitch to match the following cue! >.< .. not too difficult to mimic though EDIT: Update... Front and Back Covers I will be using this thread to notify everyone of any revisions that I make to the complete score, so that you can re-download using the link I will have given you Revisions: 02 June 05 - 15 Narration at the Ballet & The Wookiee Army modified. The Senate (TPM tracked music) added.
  3. Another CLip: http://forums.eveofthewar.com/photos/displ...e.php?pos=-1456 Doesn't sound very JW-ish though.... ? EDIT: Aint JW .. it overlaps with Clip 1 as heard on the WotW page of this site which features the JW Score .. Must be some sort of temp, placeholder score in this clip?
  4. http://www.waroftheworldsfilm.com/nm/publi.../news_145.shtml They say they will have score snippets soon
  5. Or the violinist could just not really know what he's talking about LOL Either way.. it will be good
  6. Yay, Well done Johnny boy! LOL
  7. I thought that Anakin's Betrayal was the most effective cue in the film... it's really what made the Jedi wipeout so sadenning.. It really was so sad to see, and I think that's probably due to John Williams' score.. I mean, OK.. it's only jedi.. boo hoo.. but somehow it just seemed really sad so I guess that's down to JW
  8. I really love this sort of dissonant, avante-garde style that Williams has grasped recently... I also really love the way he's been using sul ponticello tremolo strings -- lovely and eery... very nice
  9. Well, the movie was amazing... but the cinema really pissed me off because they screwed up the sound bad and it was really distorted and hard to listen to which was really frustrating cos I'm an uber-audiophile >.<
  10. I'm sure that this is mentioned elsewhere.. but why is Yoda's theme clearly used in ET (The Magic of Halloween - 00:43) O_O!
  11. Something really amuses me about the attitudes of some people who post at these forums... Thi is a John Williams Fan Network -- John Williams composes music for film and film is purely a form of entertainment.. So why is it that some people have to make such negative comments about things all the time -- like the world is coming to an end -- If a film sucks, who cares? It's only entertainment... Also, if someone happens to like a film and others do not -- no need to flame or ridicule -- again, film is purely entertainment, not an excuse to start arguments.
  12. zero credibility, there is no way anyone can take anything you say seriously Uhmm... I was being serious =
  13. The orchestral work is nice, but the vocals don't do much for me I've started up my own Place at ACIDplanet too... so everyone go there and rate my music!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?AID=378116 Thanks
  14. Looking at the trailers, I really don't think this is going to be an even remotely subdued score. Lots of action
  15. You seem to have insisted that you would hate this movie.. even before it was released , so I'm certainly not suprised by the negativity of your comments....
  16. Revenge of The Sith Phantom Menace Attack of The Clones Return of The Jedi A New Hope Empire Strikes Back ...flame me
  17. Do we even know if the score has been recorded yet?
  18. I'm sorry.. but I'm gonna go off on one of my "John williams is the best" fits now... John Williams is the Best!!! When you listen to the scores that he comes out with and compare it to any other score that other film composers are coming out with these days... the difference in musical genius and the quality of music is just immense! I just really honestly cannot believe he's not winning Oscars for some of his GREAT GREAT GREAT recent scores... the Star Wars Trilogy, and Harry Potter for starters... Do you see any other film composers coming out with music of this calibur? NO! And what about AI... so damn beautiful ,, and the intelligent genius score for Minority Report... And what's with the lack of recognition for The Terminal... it's beautifully genius.. and Catch me if you can!! Anyway,, I digress.. My point is, John Williams just constantly produces the most amazing music that I will ever have the honour of listening to in my life.. and yet.. he fails to get that recognition from the Academy... And Imagine if you were John Williams.. and in all honesty, despite John's modesty, he knows he is by far the best really -- so think how demotivated and generally upset he must feel to constantly see other composers being awarded over him -- you could see he was dissapointed at the last Awards ceremony with PoA... And now RoTS... an Amazing AMAZING Score... and I love it to pieces... if they dont award him for this, or at least for the whole prequel Trilogy then I just haven't got a clue what they're doing. I really don't.. I just can't stop thinking how utterly stunningly brilliant John William's scores are.. *sigh* I'll go now *walks away*
  19. Actions speak louder than words. Williams' intention is certainly not to retrack everything. I think Lucas is just stroking his ego at those times, thinking "I just want alot of classical music I can put in my film." Remember, Williams convinced Lucas that he should write original themes rather than re-arranging classical standards. So its been a tug of war the whole time. Someone really must like retracking music, and it sure ain't Williams. He writes music for moments. Amen Sister!! o_O *toddles off*
  20. and how come there was so much news on the ROTS recording sessions ... when they will be, etc... , but none on this film? o_O
  21. Actually, that's not Clone Army music at all. It was cut from AOTC, wasn't in that film, and was written for the beasts coming out at the beginning of the Arena sequence. Obviously Williams must have written music for the new scene. I wasn't at all moved during the Jedi Temple scene. The tracking was horrendous throughout the movie. I thought it was over after the crash landing, but there was more, and more and more. I'd say about 50-60 percent of the music is properly placed. There's also alot of in-film retracking, like the beginning of the grievous fight with ObiWan, in which we hear the two previously heard statements of Grievous' theme retracked and spliced together. Most of the middle of the movie had bad pacing, editing and retracking. By the end of the movie, I was very moved and overall it was great. But the tracking problems are about as bad as AOTC, and its a shame. Damn I was really hoping there would be little or no butchering this time round...
