  1. I may be misremembering, but I think James Fitzpatrick years ago said on the FSM board that he started looking into recording a complete Jane Eyre, and was discouraged from continuing by some of Williams’s people. I think Williams has become very protective of his earlier composition work in particular — we know he nixed The Sugarland Express from LLL, and The Rare Breed and Story of a Woman from Intrada when they started looking into those. We should all be grateful FSM managed to get so many under the radar obscurities (like Nightwatch, The Ghostbreaker, his only score for The Eleventh Hour) out when they did… The Goldsmith GE Theater campaign is now at a shocking 82% after only 24 hours! The previous campaign was at 59% at this point… Yavar
  2. BOOM! From producer Neil S. Bulk at FSM: CAN'T WAIT -- 1500 copies sure doesn't seem likely to last long... And OH YEAH... Leigh Phillips announced his second Jerry Goldsmith at The General Electric Theater Kickstarter campaign this morning, to record another two scores from that series, and it's already reached 60% funding in about half a day! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lpfilmmusic/record-jerry-goldsmith-at-the-ge-theater-volumes-3-and-4?ref=profile_created I say this a lot, but it's an amazing time to be a Goldsmith fan! 3. "Precursor"? It only came out two days before Dances With Wolves, lol... Yavar
  4. I agree with your opinion of Kamen's Die Hard (and Roadhouse) but respectfully request you give Licence to Kill another chance/revisit. Kamen was a HUGE Bond fan and actually put a ton of brilliant Bond touches into the score, with a lot of excellent orchestral writing. More music is unreleased from his Bond score than literally any other Bond score (it's over half unreleased). I think a complete edition will be a revelation for a lot of people. Yavar
  5. The follow up campaign for another two Jerry Goldsmith GE Theater scores has only been live for an hour or two, and it’s already over a third of the way funded! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/lpfilmmusic/record-jerry-goldsmith-at-the-ge-theater-volumes-3-and-4 I can’t wait to hear the whole “Hitler’s Secret” score in particular, based on the tense sample Leigh has already mocked up… Jerry Goldsmith scoring ol’ Adolf almost two decades before The Boys from Brazil! Yavar
  6. Reversed chronological order, yes, but I’m pretty sure they were released in the order of how much previously unreleased music there was. Tomorrow Never Dies had an original album, a prior single disc (but significant) expansion (which was oddly missing a bit of music on the original release), and an isolated score track. Between those three sources fans were able to construct a fairly complete version of the score. But this new version from LLL will blow that all away I’m sure… Yavar
  7. Matinee expanded is still available at least! (I’m sorry you missed out on Small Soldiers…) Yavar
  8. Don’t see his name mentioned here! Could he have been referring to The ‘Burbs? Yavar
  9. And with the correct film versions of cues, which you’d pointed out were unreleased before! Yavar
  10. @Jay since I missed a lot of your clever countdown images, would you be willing to put them all in one spoiler post so we can appreciate your creativity? Yavar
  11. I’d say the score is more Morricone-like… love it tho! Yavar
  12. They didn’t find the complete original tapes. As with their In Harm’s Way expansion around the same time, that Intrada expansion only added one cue (though a great one!) over the original album, and they were able to do that because it was included on the first generation album masters since it was being considering for inclusion on that original album. Yavar
  13. Unless Disney ownership makes that and The 13th Warrior complicated… Yavar
  14. May be one reason why I never really cared for that old album much… Yavar
  15. I uh… personally don’t like Supergirl much? 😉 Sorry… I guess it’s possible a new edition might change my mind. Yeah these are two expansions I’m really pining for… Yavar
  16. Neat catch of a nice and subtle design touch from Jim Titus! It’s evoking the 20th Century Fox floodlights… Yavar
  17. What’s the difference really between “Production Assistance” and “Assistant Producer”…aside from maybe pay? 😂 Yavar
  18. It says “Assistant Producer” for Lukas on Qobuz, and it seems possible Neil just didn’t mention his involvement because it was significantly less than his or Mike’s… Yavar
  19. Very promising comment from Mangold (not that I should be surprised, after the masterpiece that is Logan). Yavar
  20. What's incorrect? Neil didn't indicate that what he wrote was comprehensive. I'll bet when we get the physical edition Lukas Kendall is listed. Yavar
  21. Well I'm pretty sure "guesstimate" has been around for quite a while before I used it here. It's almost as ubiquitous a portmanteau as "motel" or "smog" and I hardly think any of these are going to cause the death of a language so weird and inconsistent as English anyway. Has Whedon never gone for portmanteau words? That's surprising. Obviously Lewis Carroll was a fan... "chortle" is my favorite invented word of his. Yavar
  22. It is… which is why I haven’t done it lol. I’m just guesstimating re: City Hall, but I think there’s easily 50 Goldsmith scores I love even more. The man was just too prolific! Yavar
  23. LK’s snafu with Carrie Goldsmith’s biography of her father has little to do with him producing Goldsmith score releases for speciality labels… he’s been doing that here and there for years. Yavar
