  1. And Erik, once again, beat me to it. There better be a score re-lease on this one cause we here in Canada are getting a bum deal so far. Brian99_1
  2. I don't know about a cd Release but the score for The Family Stone is available on itunes. Here Although this seems to be only for the American Itunes store. Which leaves me out  Brian99_1 - one unhappy camper right now
  3. So another era Begins. Now as long as Neil doesn't pull a Ricard and completely dissapear from the board.... Anyway Thanks for the time Neil and good luck to you Marc! And as long as we are talking about it. I think it's only fair to say thanks to Ricard - For starting all of this and Andreas for.... well hosting all of this. Brian99_1
  4. I've had my Ipod for months now but still have yet to buy anything from Itunes, Mostly because I like to own the discs, SO I was wondering if anyone knows of any good Film Score Itunes Exlusives? Brian99_1
  5. Hi Erik, That's great news and if it had come from anyone but you I would have never believed it. (seeing that you know the man and this is the first I've ever seen of it) All my friends here at work think I'm nuts looking forward to this movie, I just keep telling them it has nothing to do with the Visuals and all to do with the score. I don't know what it's like in Hamilton but in this end of Canada Score fans are few and far between! Hopfully this means it will be in the Canadian Itunes store then? Thanks for the Heads up! Brian99_1
  6. Just out of curiosity I checked out the Family Stone website... not much info there and the movie looks like a renter at best but There is music playing and I don't know if it's pieces of Giacchino's score..... I really hope this gets to a soundtrack release since we haven't had a Giacchino disc since last year. http://www.thefamilystonemovie.com/ Brian99_1
  7. According to Lucasarts Empire at War comes out on Feb. 7 2006.
  8. Well it looks like Giacchino's schedule will be getting a little lighter after this TV season http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/...8775|1|,00.html Brian99_1 - who will miss this show.
  9. There's also the part where Marty watches the Lybians chase himself at "lone pine mall" that's missing but if you can put up with it both this part and the part with the 4x4 are on the John Debney re-recording. Brian99_1
  10. They are the files that were posted here ... http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/ Before they were taken down Brian99_1
  11. Actually I just remembered that I have my DVD score backups here with me at work today.... Anyway yes the tracks are 192 Kbps Brian99_1
  12. I have the files from that site at home.... I'll have to take a look and let you know later tonight Brian99_1
  13. Because Stefancos started the original here in General Discussion in 2003 and 25 pages later Neil had to start it up again when we had the problems with the board.... Now here we are November 2005 and it's still here. Kinda late to move it now?? Brian99_1
  14. FINALLY the possiblility of a Lost soundtrack.... someone really should look into getting that website of Giachinno's updated, Didn't Erik say something about possibly wanting to take it over for him Anyway as a web designer I certainly understand how updating a website all the time can get a little draining. I guess not every composer can have a JWfan.net Brian99_1
  15. Who needs filmtracks when we have tracksounds and cinemusic.... Oh wait yeah they kinda stalled too hmm......
  16. If there is more un-released material like this in the score then I would be all over an expanded edition link stink on a tauntaun. Jeremy
  17. 8O You have got to be kidding me..... Somone is going ot come onto a jwfan board and try to "educate" us on music???? Oh my..... opinions are fine but where do some people get off. Should we infest a classic rock board now and try to *cough* "educate" them? Brian99_1
  18. this is well .... interesting to say the least http://www.musicfromthemovies.com/article.asp?ID=483
  19. ok so we have the muppets, sky high, rumours of MI:3 and according to musicfromthemovies.com they have him listed with the following http://www.musicfromthemovies.com/article.asp?ID=480 Michael Giacchino: Sky High / On the Sly: In Search of the Family Stone*. Brian99_1- who is not ashamed to say that yes "geeking out" is taken from the Incredibles but certainly thinks it applies to some of us
  20. I was just re-reading an interview with Giacchino on soundtrack.net http://www.soundtrack.net/features/article/?id=132 and I must say I'm quite impressed with his way of thinking in the section where where he is talking about the Incredibles and about Barry having been on the film before him. Talking about Barry being asked to go back to "that Bond sound" Talking about knowing what people would think of him using the signature 60's sound Brian99_1 - who is continually more impressed with Giacchino and his work as time passes (and who also must ask forgivness for geeking out for someone other then JW for a min and must now play a JW cd to restore his JW faness?? :? )
  21. To those who wonder why this thread is SO long and ruining the board: If you actually counted (if you were that desperate, which i must say I'm not even close to being since we are on page 24 here) you would probably notice that most of this thread is people debating the existance of this thread and this rediculous notion that Williams can be replaced No film composer especially JW can be replaced they all have their one place and voice.(Yes I used the term for musical voice in a Giacchino thread lets have it folks lets bring up the Hack stuff again) OH yeah and every once in awhile we actually get to talk about Giacchino who like Williams some of us here think he writes good film/game/whatever music... HUH go figure!? I bet if you search for someone like Say errr Elfman or Goldsmith they have way more results on this forum then Giacchino. So we Giacchino fans "geek out" over some of his stuff on a couple threads in a forum about Our number one guy in film music (JW just in case no one has got that yet!) who if we all are honest we do the same thing with in practically every thread, it's the reason for the network right?? SO is it really that much of a strech that some of us Williams fans listen to not only JW but, and oh get this, maybe even another film composer other then him!?!?! and we might want to talk about it on a site devoted to film music opps is that asking for a ban!? ah to H*** with it someday I'm sure we score geeks will all grow up and get along Brian99_1 - who will start holding his breath ...... now
  22. I have seen a promo/rip of Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault also by Lennertz Tracklists that I have seen have varied so I do believe it more then likely a game rip. There are some samples of the music on the ea website here http://www.eagames.com/official/moh/pacass...l.jsp?src=music Allied Assault has 15 or so min of new music that was rumored to have been coming on a compilation dic awhile back but right now It can only be heard as mp3 files on the game disc.
  23. It may not be the John Williams Documentary on DVD but hey it's a start. Brian99_1 - who considers this good news to brighten his otherwise dull day
  24. Well there may not have been a Goldsmith tribute at the oscars this year but it seems the folks at Paramount and Star Trek decided they at least should do something. Next Tuesday Paramount is releasing the next in their 2disc versions of the Star Trek Films, Star Trek First Contact and listed on the second disc they have "Jerry Goldsmith: A Tribute" You can read the contents of the set at this link http://www.startrek.com/startrek/view/stor...6506DA10B0889F8 I have also read reports I can't remember where but it seems the tribute may run around the 20 min mark Brian99_1 - who can't wait to see the tribute
