  1. The Ultimate War - Hook Scherzo for motorcycle and orchestra - Last Crusade Clash of the lightsabers - TESB To Thornfield - Jane Eyre The hunt - Planet of the Apes
  2. I did NOT forget AMERICAN JOURNEY, Brian99_1. Read it, read it. Are you still here? Eooooooo :wow:
  3. VGM......... Now look at these photographs. Lara Croft conducting the London Symphony Orchestra!!!! LOL Definitely, she is THE WOMAN of my dreams...... :wow:
  4. Thanx. Yeah. That's what I supposed. I did know the rest. But I thank you for your information, Andrade.
  5. And Howard Shore's The Lord of the Rings better than Leonard Rosenman's one? HA HA HA HA!!!! They are dreaming. Rosenman's score:
  6. The Fiddler on the Roof CD contains some producers notes: "A note regarding the last song Any Day Now. While it was recorded with John Williams and the London Symphony with Paul Michael Glaser.........." I didn't know that Fiddler on the Roof was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Does anyone know the truth about it? Is it correct? Or was it another orchestra?
  7. CONNERY. CONNERY. CONNERY. (sacrilegious) No doubt. How can you make that question?
  8. Ross, do you think that holocaust is part of american history? It happened in Europe, with european jewish (and polish, russians,.......). You forgot "American Journey". A music for each moment of the american history.
  9. And don't forget Aliens and Willow (and many other). I like Horner. He is not the most original composer, but his works are good and very listeneable. My favorite Horner soundtrack: Enemy at the Gates.
  10. From Horner I also LOVE Enemy at the Gates. And in general, every Horner's use of chorus (with the exception of those synthesizer chorus - titanic....)
  11. Oh goody, a longer cut of AOTC. That's just what we need. Neil But without any new Williams music. That happened in The Phantom Menace: deleted footage inserted in the film, but editing the already existing music.
  12. Williams' sadest pieces: The Early Days, Massapequa, 1957 (BOFJ) Cadillac of the Skies (EOTS) My Friend, the Brachiosaurus (JP) Trio-The Meeting (Jane Eyre) The Days Between (Stepmom) Theme From Angela's Ashes Remembrances & I Could Have Done More (SL) Omaha Beach & The Last Battle (SPR) From other composers: Theme from Contact (Alan Silvestri) Gabriel's Oboe - The Mission (Ennio morricone) Theme from Glory (James Horner) and, above all, DEATH! from Edward Scissorhands (Danny Elfman)
  13. Not always. There is an objective basis. A minimum comprenhension of the quality of the music.
  14. The best X-mas music in a film
  15. Have to disagree. Leia&Luke's theme is musically much better than Across the Stars or Leia's theme. But in the film.......was it necessary a new theme for the brother&sister? I think Williams could avoid it. But the film required a new musically strong theme in ROTJ, as the previous episodes had many of them.
  16. No. Williams has more time to DEVELOPE the main themes in the maintitles of Superman. He introduces 3 themes in Superman and only 2 in Star Wars.

  18. Oh, yes. And don't forget Schindler's Workforce. And the best: I Could Have Done More. I have to agree with Morn (as I always do). Definitely, SCHINDLER'S LIST.
  19. This question may have done before, but I want to know your opinions. Which is the best score composed by Williams for a Chris Columbus film?
  20. So here continues the discussion about VGM......... (shenmue! shenmue! LOL ) Does anyone know a computer game called Enemy Zero (1996). I don't know it, but I think its music was composed by Michael Nyman. Confirm this information, please.
  21. It SEEMED real. Now, after having watched AOTC 3 times, when I see the first trilogy (the second one chronologicaly), I can only think on one thing: "Yoda is a puppet, definitely, he is a puppet."
  22. In this order: 1. Empire Strikes Back 1. The Phantom Menace 2. A New Hope 3. Return of the Jedi 4. Attack of the Clones
