I’m curious to know if the sound on Rescuing Sarah has been improved when the unreleased material kicks in. The material sounded like it came from a different source.

I actually have a physical copy of that.

Yes @Jay I know they are shipping out replacements. I wasn’t aware they had started shipping already, hence the statement out of the blue.

My introduction to this score was when vol 1 of Music For A Darkened Theater was released. A few years later I found the original soundtrack release. It’s been awhile since I’ve listened to it. When an expanded version gets released of something I already have, I’ll shy away from it so when it hits the streets, it will have a much more newer taste to me, if that makes sense.

FYI, out of the blue I received my replacement (repressed) City Hall disc, just the CD itself. It does not have the blemish on the actual disc, yay! Due to my current condition, see the Solo thread avatar madness, it will probably be a month before I can traverse the stairs to rip it. 😄

Williams was too busy and Giacchino is one of my favorites and excelled at scoring “Lost” related material.

Actually I slipped in the kitchen and one leg went one way and my left leg got pinned against the island and I fell over. I dislocated my ankle, fractured it in 3 different spots and cracked my lower tibia and fibula. Had surgery yesterday and screws & plates put in my ankle. Surprisingly the pain has not been bad. But I’m off my feet for at least 6 weeks.

No I didn’t lose a leg.

So I suffered a rather severe and gruesome injury this weekend and after surgery and under the influence of a heavy dose of pain meds, I thru this together. *** I didn’t lose a leg****

I’m sure if JP3 could have been released by now, it would have. There could be issues holding it up we’re unaware of.

I’ve tried quite a few different ripping softwares and nothing works. I use Apple so no EAC.

Well I wish I had good news but the the same problem arose, except now its the first 3 tracks that are problems. Oh and same spot on the CD.

I can’t tell the difference but then again I never noticed the same issue on the original Varese release of The Cowboys after all those years.

I’d buy a TLW reissue if Rescuing Sarah was a bit better sounding. Normally I don’t complain but something sounds off with some of the unreleased material to my ears.

Well my replace disc arrived according to the Mrs so we’ll see when I get home. I tried using different software, other than iTunes, to rip the original that was sent but no luck. Oh and Varese is apparently announcing 2 new titles this Friday too.

I like when Amazon and BSX offer a digital version as well when you purchase a physical CD.

Exact Audio doesn’t work with Macs, correct? I quit using Windows / Microsoft years ago. But to update, I received a response from Concord and they are sending me a replacement. Now what batch they are getting it from, as it appears most people have that “spit” on the cd, begs a question.

This begs the question, can you separate artistic merit from the person? Plenty of artists /celebrities/ athletes have done or been accused of reprehensible behavior. However they have also taken part in many things people enjoy. Do you continue to enjoy their output, dispense of it from your collection, or stop supporting future endeavors?

Given the rather poor reception / dismal box office of this film and Kathleen Kennedy / Disney cancelling Star Wars projects left and right, I'd wouldn't be surprised if this film never happened. I guess the digital version will have to suffice for me on this on this one. That way I won't have to double dip whenever, or if, all 5 scores eventually get a full release. I thought about pre-ordering the LP but I'm lukewarm about this score to begin with. And at this pace I'm beginning to think I won't live to see a full comprehensive release of all the IJ scores or the Star Wars saga.
