  1. Wasn't he told to do that though? His score would've probably been better if he'd been allowed to use Indy's fanfare.....
  2. Hmmm I kind of agree. To me though, it sounds like Hooper being lazy and just re-jigging the theme a bit so it doesn't sound quite the same, instead of coming up with something else.....
  3. I find it offensive that Hooper virtually re-uses Professor's Umbridge's Theme from HP5 for the Potions lesson ("Living Death")!
  4. lol well I couldn't work out how to word it right!
  5. I didn't say they never use it, I just said they rarely use it. Very rarely in Hooper's case.....
  6. I also think that's a good idea, but sadly composers rarely seem to use other composers themes (except Hedwig's Theme in this case, and Hooper can barely even manage that..... )
  7. I think the film has to end with "Leaving Hogwarts." As verbatim as possible. (Hedwig's theme could then round out the end credits, of course.) Well, "Leaving Hogwarts" virtually ends with "Hedwig's Theme" anyway. "Leaving Hogwarts" is my favourite cue from HP1.
  8. I don't find the Main Theme gorgeous, but I certainly think it's graceful*. I definitley prefer the Island Theme out of the two! * = But only when played at the proper speed, i.e slower.
  9. Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan (New FSM Complete Version) Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (OST) Star Trek: First Contact (OST) Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire (OST). Nicer than I remember. Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince (OST). Not that bad really, although a bit weak for Potter?
  10. Star Trek III: The Search For Spock. Complete Motion Picture Score..........
  11. Anyone know if the OST of this includes the cue right at the end when the Enterprise goes into warp and disappears ("Make It So")?
  12. I meant I might not like the 'new' version if it's more echoey that the OST.
  13. The second one is an earlier alternate that omits the Genesis material. They weren't originally going to have the shots of the coffin on the surface and so forth. The narration is missing from the alternate, too, though. Thanks DM. Just what I wanted to know.
  14. I too like the narration, a fitting way for the film to end. But then again I haven't heard the 'new' version yet (only the original OST), so I might not like it.
  15. TWOK is really great. I haven't recieved my CD yet tho. What's the difference between the two Epilogue tracks, is it just that one has narration and the other doesn't? I wouldn't be suprised if we see TSFS sometime soon, given the Horner-fest we seem to be getting recently.....
