  1. I've spent the past 30 minutes or so comparing the differences in the finale, thanks to Jason's spreadsheet. I feel like it's a game. Ultimately I decided that I preferred . . . No triangle at 6:53, the overlap to be present from Chase into Saying Goodbye, the original version of the "Ouch Scene," extra horns at 12:42 and the smooth transition at 13:45. This leaves me with: The 20th Anniversary version with a bit of editing to get the extra horns from the 1982 release. Let the editing commence.
  2. I was wondering this morning when I saw just a tracklist and nothing more. When I got home from work there was quite a discussion going on.
  3. I've been listening through the set, it is wonderful. One frustration I had is that prior to hearing the bonus tracks in European Assault, some of the themes were absolutely stunning and I was left wanting to hear more . . . but the cue ended.
  4. First, thanks for compiling all of these fommes. Second, I just wanted to clarify a few things. Yes, track 7 plays into track 8. Fortunately they're played right after each other in the film, so no editing needs to occur as long as you put the tracks back to back. As for what was reported about track 9, that's inaccurate. Beetlesnake contains cues in two different parts of the film. Although this is not explained directly, it is shown in the blog post previously linked to. As noted about a few tracks, the chronological order is incorrect. However some fading in and out of several tracks would need to happen so it doesn't sound as unnatural. This is listed in the blog post, but for those that are looking at it here the only change to the tracks (in bold) would be this: 1, 2, 3, 25, 4, 5, 29, 28, 26, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 32, 33, 31, 11, 12, 22, 13, 30, 14, 15, 27, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 Bonus Tracks: 21, 23, 24, 34, 35, 36 Lastly, there are some cue segments left from the DVD isolated score that did not make it into the Elfman Box release of Edward Scissorhands. Two that made the difference to me were the outro to "Beautiful New World" and the intro to "Home Sweet Home." They're listed along with others here.
  5. Here are the last 13 seconds of the "Joker Flies to Gotham / Batwing I" from each release so you can compare for yourself. Their bitrate is 192. Elfman Box: http://www.4shared.com/account/audio/nNHkYdw0/Elfman_Box.html?&page=g La La Land Release: http://www.4shared.com/audio/axmNnknB/La_La_Land.html
  6. I received my shipping confirmation on Tuesday.
  7. I sent Warner Brothers Record Store an e-mail asking if there was any difference between the version they have of the Elfman box versus the one posted at other sites. This was their response.
  8. To clarify further, this is the equivalent of the one I bought (although for less money). It has the 8 tracks and it looks legitimate, however the tracks on the CD have a 192 bitrate. I have the Peter Pan promo from the same year and the quality is lossless, hence the question. If another person had the Love Actually oscar promo, I would like to compare. Obviously, nobody does. I appreciate your attempts to help.
  9. I supposedly purchased the 'Oscar Promo.' That's what I'm referring to, and I understand what cannot be talked about on these boards. I was attempting to discuss the legitimate Oscar Promo to see if what I have is it. It contains the 8 tracks and that is all. Since it appears that nobody has it, there is no way I can truly verify this. That essentially implies that this copy is not legitimate or that nobody else has a copy so I can verify this. Oh well.
  10. I don't remember as I last watched it over a year ago, however I do recall enjoying the score. There were bits of the score on the album release and more on the promo score. Next week I am planning on going through to see what is missing and put all the existing music in chronological order.
  11. I recently obtained a 'Promo Score' of Love Actually, however it might be an illegitimate copy. I was curious if somebody had a legitimate promo that I could compare notes with to validate/invalidate its authenticity. Please post here or send me a PM. I would prefer to compare by seeing the spectral view of a flac file from the disc, if possible.
  12. I know it was previously listed, however . . . this one is a bit different as it separates a track as stated in the liner notes of the CD. SpaceCamp 1 - Main Title (3:07) 5 - Friends Forever (2:20) 2 - Training Montage (2:00) 4 - The Computer Room (1:54) 3 - The Shuttle (5:02) 6 - In Orbit (3:12) 7 - White Sands (:00-3:12) 9 - Viewing Daedalus (2:45) 12 - Max Finds Courage (3:53) 10 - Max Breaks Loose (2:21) 11 - Andie Is Stranded (4:08) 7 - White Sands (3:12-6:52) 13 - Re-Entry (3:55) 14 - Home Again (3:30) 8 - SpaceCamp (4:06) As listed in the liner notes, "Track 7, 'White Sands', combines two cues from different sections of the film, but otherwise a rough chronological presentation of the score is possible by programming the CD tracks in the following sequence: 1, 5, 2, 4, 3, 6, 9, 12, 10, 11, 7, 13, 14, 8."
  13. I'm disappointed that this is being pushed back again. I understand the reasons, but I will no longer have any hopes of it being released this year. Also, the few posts about this over at FSM are indicative that it will not sell out quickly. Maybe not even for a year or more. That's fine, but it simply means that some of the better music from the series will most likely remain unreleased as I don't see how the best music from nine seasons and 201 episodes could fit on only four discs. Nonetheless, when it is released I will buy it and rejoice.
  14. 15. Funny, just posted the same thing one minute later. Somehow, I knew you'd be one of the first to post about it.

  17. I'm curious for those that are interested in this release, what cues do you hope would be included? As for myself Scully's Theme (as it has been called), the end cue (before the credits) to Hollywood AD, and the final cue from the Truth immediately spring to mind.
  18. What did you like about Epitaph One? I am not one to argue simply for the sake of arguing, I am curious what you liked about it though.
  19. I just finished watching Epitaph One. I hated it, passionately. To me, this destroyed my desire to watch the show next season because it basically laid out the entire future of the series.
  20. I listened to the 30 minute (dialogue free) track from the Snow Files album on my way to work today. Too bad I'll have to wait until next year to hear more than what's already out there.
