Indeed, his use of orchestators is very well known, and I have never heard Williams flat out saying that he does not use them. The "controversy" lies in precisely what kind and how much work they do for him, which is said to be very little indeed, and why he does not credit them in the CD releases. (which I think he should do) Stefancos- Wondering if Williams scores of late would be better if Conrad Pope and John Neufeld started ghostwriting for him.

Superman 4 isn't nearly as bad as that. Taken as pure camp it's actually far more enjoyable then part 3. To bad we will probably never see a score release.

Natalie portman CAN actually act, just not when directed by Lucas. Stefancos- Who has not seen Hayden "something" in another film then AOTC.

Williams scored SUPERMAN : THE MOVIE. SUPERMAN II and III were scored by Ken Thorne, making extensive use of Williams music (part II is virtually a cut and paste job of the first score) SUPERMAN IV was scored by John's friend and orchestator Alexander Courage, but John Williams provided 2 new themes for this film. Courage made extensive use of the Supes Theme. Clear now? Stefancos- who knows Indysolo could not have explained it better.
