  1. What's the difference between a producer and an executive producer and what do both do exactly? And why doe Lucas need a producer anyways,he owns the studio... k.m.
  2. I'd have him sign all of my 130+ c.d's that are related to him. K.m.
  3. I saw that too, around Christmastime last year. It is a very nice piece isn't it? McFarlane makes some good figs. .... Those movie scenes aren't figures..anyways that Jaws one is real gory. The were clear to do a similar thing from a scene of The Exorcist(the Head spin scene, and they have the exclusive contract) last year, prototypes were ready for production but they cancelled it just at the LAST minute.TOO gory and discusting was the reason. K.M.Who might just buy that Jaws set piece.Impressive it is.
  4. Ok,I'm addicted to it,many viewings in theater just like all of the other ones before. This time my focus wasn't on the main characters, dialogue or the story, but mainly what was behind them and on the sides and corners of the screen,so mainly, the set decoration and what was going on there. Man,that movie is crammed with interesting things to see in almost every fame Wonder at the screnery of Coruscant, focus on everything except the speeders during the chase, look at the decor in the various rooms where Padme is staying.Look around the Cantina(yes,I did see Anthony Daniels cameo out of costume),Look all around the transport ship to Naboo.Check out all the various ship cockpits and instruments,Funny stuff hapening in Mos Eisley(Pit Droids working and arguing behind Watto and Anakin) and all the freak aliens, all the stuff crammed in the Lars Farm,A Naboo "cow" floating among the asteroids of Geneosis,The droid factory behind R2 and C3PO's antics,The Jedi's battling the droids behind the central action(Yes,A LOT do get killed and lie on the floor of the arena.) Anyways,it was fun to watch from another point of view. My opinion remains the same on the music. The only 2 notable cues missing from the c.d. is Anakin telling Padme what he did to the Tuscan Raiders and Yoda's lightsaber fight, and too bad they edited out Sidious theme out of the last cue too. K.M.Who STILL missed those Corellian frigates on Naboo and George Lucas in the senate.
  5. Yes,no kids in the SW Action Figure section at Toys R Us,mostly suspicious looking adults with cell phones and grabbing bunches of the rarer figures. K.M.
  6. I think that too.I only collect the small SW figures but I open them and made a nice display. I don't care if they get valuable and don't keep them sealed away in boxes. K.M.who saw at that store a Mc Farlane movie maniacs cinema scene. The half sunk Orca in Jaws with the shark jumped on the boat. You can put Quint in his mouth too.amazing set piece, and VERY well crafted, painted and detailed.
  7. Well,i said you OR Hlao-roo,I didn't remember,so I guess it narrows it down to Alan. K.M.
  8. Yes I agree, too bad Baby,Secret of the Lost Legend was never released on c.d.,I love whatever I heard of it.(though I saw a boot of it advertised somewhere). And dont forget 1981-82.Secret of Nihm,Poltergeist,The Final Conflict ,and others I forget,I don't have my c.d collection here.anyways, those three scores are also one of Goldsmith's career Highlights. K.M.
  9. Darn my computer crashed when I was submitting my long response.I'll make a shorter one. For those 4 inch SW figures SPECIFICALLY,the line blurs between a toy and a miniature sculpture or replica. The maniacs that make them at Hasbro are perfectionnists,if they don't like a sculpt the made 2 years ago because it's not well proportionned, the details are not exactly the same as in the movie, the paint job is not to their liking, the will make a new one that improves over the previous ones. Now even former oversised guns are exactly replicated and fit in holsters on the figure. Some acessories only hold in the figure's hand held by a small elastic band. Not exactly kid or play friendly. Kids Buy the main characters mostly, but adults go for the oddball aliens or droids that you see 2 seconds in the background in the movie.Kids DONT buy the figures made in between movies either or get every variation of the same figure. I found a small store in Montreal that sell excusively action figures,ALL the SW ones since 1995(for a price of course)and the more elaborate ones in some other lines...like they have the movie inspired Spiderman figures, but not the other kiddie ones. They have Spawn,LOTR,Simpsons and others.....They've been open for 3 years.NO kids shop in there, only adult collectors. K.M.
  10. Nobody has my final cut,and I don't have a c.d. burner, and few here have Minidisks besides Crusher and Stefancos. K.M.
  11. I like my version though nobody heard it except Stefancos but it still had a few edits to adjust then(it way harder and time consuming with Minidisk than a Wave Editor, but with patience,it gets the job done, but you can't crossfade). K.M.

    Petition

I think other Williams scores would have a priority for a complete release petition before Attack of the Clones. K.M.
  13. i missed it too,I was looking in Mos Eisley. But it's not the Falcon, only Corellian frigates that are similar, and apperently there are three of them. K.m.who also missed it after 3 viewings.
  14. Since I have most of them(around 70 scores the last time i counted),there has to be a bottom half,so here are the ones(in groups rather than specific ones, but with some examples) 1-Late 50's,60's Comedy scores(Fitzwilly,How to Steal a Million..etc...) 2-Mid to late 90's Dramatic scores(Amistad,SPR,7Y in tibet,Rosewood,Stepmom,Angela's Ashes...) 3-Proeminent accoustic Guitar scores(The River,Stepmom) 4-Proeminent banjo,Harmonica scores(Sugerland Express,Missouri Breaks,Man who loves Cat Dancing, and another obvious one I forget because I'm tired) 5-Some of his cold action/disaster scores of the 70's(whatever's in between the Main/End Credits of The Poseidon Adventure,Eiger sanction,Earthquake,Black sunday, though I really like The Towering Inferno) 6-Boring ultra repetitive one theme scores(BOTFJ,Accidental Tourist,Presumed Innocent....all the main themes are good though,it's just hearing them played over andover the same way) 7-Most of his concertos. K.M.
  15. The Presence of the dark forces of the Phantom Zone Trio is strong in this thread. Now we need a reply from stefancos and this thread will oose with evilness 8O K.M.Who thinks Crusher's original avatar without the girl was much better and closer to mine(he sent me a preview)
  16. TPM movie grossed 450 million domestically, and was in the top spots of the B.O charts for a long run.The thing it's the contrary to what you say, most SW fans(but not me) disliked The Phantom menace, but not the general public and kids introduced to SW.and the kids LOVED Jar Jar too. K.M.
  17. I'm sure the more insecure or beginner composer do,but I don't think Williams gives a hoot. K.M.
  18. I'd buy it of course, but i don't feel the "need" for one as much as the other Star Wars scores.I'll repeat again that whatever unreleased music I heard wasn't really all that interesting(except maybe the scene in the Lars farm where Anakin tells Padme he killed all the Tuscan Raiders and the Yoda lightsaber fight). And as for the actual c.d. out right now,it's to me the weakest of all of the Star Wars scores by far.The love theme rubs me the wrong way ever since I first heard it and even after seeing the movie 3 times, and it's all over the place, and all the chase music is boring...so what's left?....the little bits here and there of music composed for the previous movies(Force Theme,Imperial March,Emperor's theme,Yoda's theme,DotF and The Trade Federation March),some of which get very good renditions, but were talking 30 seconds bits scattered through out the movie. K.M.Basically saying what JoeinAr says for the scores to Hook and Last Crusade.
  19. Personally I didn't go through the whole thing.Got too bored by the 3rd movement. But that 's just me i guess. K.M.
  20. You won't. to me AA has only one really standout cue,and one of his best too...Back To America, but the thematic material has nothing to do with the rest of the score, just like the best cue in Seven Years in Tibet,Regaining a Son,has nothing to do with the rest of the score. K.M.

You can acess the score only on the menu of the DVD.Of course since the cues are seperated in the movie, they are too on the iso track. The best way is to record them together with a cdr burner.Crusher made a theral 2 c.d. boot using ALL the music of the DVD(there is truckloads),alternates on the Bay Cities c.d. and Concert arrrangements on Boston Pops albums.Pretty neat. K.M.who likes this score too...very upbeat and fun too.
  22. I'll poit out again that once you saw Spiderman once, you catch pretty much everyting that's on screen. My second viewing was boring.AotC,on the other hand is a repeat viewing movie because of the details.Heck,I want to see it a 4th time just to see those Corellian ships on the Naboo landing platforms when I was looking for them in Mos Eisley,or contemplate those amazing scenery views of Coruscant, the hell with the love story, just go get your soda refills when they pop up. K.M.
  23. Crusher scanned some picture of me i brought to his place last summer to show him some of my past girlfriends. But I think he altered one to make me look pissed off. K.M.
  24. Thanks again I think I have to get used to the new site a little more. K.M.Planning to click on everything on the main page tonight to see where it leads him.
