Only then praise will come. The sad news is (for adult graphic novel Snyder fans like me) that the Rebel Moon franchise for Netflix will be occupying Zack Snyder for the next 6 years or so. Like I've always said, he shouldn't be writing his own stories and dialog, he just need to take a 'classic' adult graphic novel and make it come alive on the big screen in his typical and signature hyper-stylized Snyder style. He's really good at that and it's what used to set him apart from other directors.

You call him A24, doll!

It's IMDb, you infidels!
-
At IMDb, anything under 7/10 (give or take) is questionable.
-
In a sense Rebel Moon is more Star Wars so you people have no other choice. Have fun!

The one that sounds the most like Zimmer will win.

Watched the whole movie without knowing it was the director of Rogue One or that Hans Zimmer wrote the soundtrack. The best thing about this movie is the CGI and and its art design. 4/10

What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
A24 replied to Mr. Breathmask's topic in General Discussion
Yep! Although, for now, the audience seem to disagree (but did they really see this movie?) -
I don't think this movie will be good.

Here's the reason why I didn't like her or why I didn't find her plausible. I never got to see (or better, feel) why the mother of Paul Atreides would've ever have been a Sister of the Bene Gesserit Order. All I saw was a plain, timid, soft-hearted, everyday mother, completely unaffected and unharmed by her Sisterhood ancestry. It's not the fault of the actress. It's the way the character has been written for the movie and it resulted in a safe, uninteresting, one-dimensional character with no depth. It's the only character in Villeneuve's Dune that I didn't believe in. Besides of her being just 'nice and caring' I should have felt there was also something dangerous or dark beneath the surface. It wasn't there.

For me this a recurring issue with most of Villeuve's movies (BR 2049, Arrival, Sicario), although it didn't bother me all that much with Dune. I think Chalamet is actually a pretty good Paul Atreides. I also liked Josh Brolin's character (Gurney Halleck) and Oscar Isaac as the father of Paul. Didn't like the mother though ...

The word 'masterpiece' gets thrown around here way too often. -
The Queen Mother shot first?

They can change or update the color grading all they want, as long as they provide us with the original.
-
You just have to look at the trailers to know this would happen.

Damn, jij laat er ook geen gras over groeien.

I still don't know why it was so bad? A bad selection of 'best of' hits? Yeah, maybe ...
-
That new sci-fi blockbuster green does indeed attempt to update the movie but I wasn't looking at the color grading. BTW, Ridley Scott did the same with Blade Runner. Grrrr!

What is the last piece of classical music you listened to?

You can almost picture this music being used for Jaws 2. -

Then there's the ancient pyramid link in Alien v Predator! Are all the franchises connected?! Are we just a species that other species have engineered? Are we just meant to be food or prey? A forgotten experiment? -
Ah, for some reason I always watched the longer version. I haven't seen the TC since ... I don't even remember.

???? Not my experience at all. Aliens looks very much of its time, film stock-wise, photography-wise and production design-wise. That was actually a major problem for me the last time watched it, which was a day after I watched the superior looking Alien on Blu-ray.
