  1. Love both scores. Had to vote for 'Superman' though, because I've had a close encounter with tights. <_<
  2. A very Happy Birthday, Mr Williams. "when every-things really by the dark side of the moon, play the 75 tones". All the best, Cheers, Ian
  3. Hi Dano. The offer is open permanently. So whenever Andreas is ready, it's cool. Maybe I should email him?. Cheers, Ian
  4. This is very interesting. I didn't know two great men (Williams and Stokowski) ever met. If anyone orders this. Please let me know whatit's like. Cheers, Ian
  5. Well. It's taken me 2 years to post that.
  6. Hi Gang. Love what you've done with this skin. But if you anytime would like something else, please choose any skin from our range for free. Please find link in sig. Please do not consider this as spam. This is a genuine offer form a long standing John Williams fan. Cheers, Ian
  7. Can you harmonise it, and sequence it into 'The Throne Room'?. LOL
  8. His energetic fist is ready to resist, a dictatorial word. Sorry folks. I didn't mean to make this a 'doesn't he sound like...' thread. I was just asking if anyone had noticed some similarities that's all. John Williams is my utmost favourite composer. Cheers, Ian
  9. Hi Folks. Is anyone else under the impression that some John Williams' music is in a style to Sir Arthur Sullivan?. The first time I was really convinced was when listening to 'Across The Stars' theme. There's some definate traces of 'The Yeoman of The Guard', and 'Princess Ida'. Am I going nuts, or can anyone else agree with what the hell I'm talking about?. :spiny: Cheers, Ian
  10. Hi Mate. Yes, that's the chap. LOL Don't get me wrong, I love all of John Williams music. But that last 'sentence' always bugs me. I almost get welled up with emotion, but then go flat when I do not hear that thick rich harmonic cadence.
  11. Hi Folks. Does anyone feel the same way as I do about the 'Throne Room Concert Edition'?. Every time I hear this, I always feel that John Williams loses the last repeat of the main theme. OK, you may wonder what on earth I'm talking about, but the last refrain of the main theme IMHO should be exuberant and very royal and regal, but, on every version it just seems to go so slow and uninteresting. If you listen to the end of RoTS Williams plays the first part very slow, but on another recording I have ( recorded at Skywalker Ranch ) it's very fast and Elgarian. I have another recording made by another orchestra and conductor. (but I cannot remember who the hell it is). However, the conductor really make that fourth 'sentence' into something. Can anyone help me out here please?. Cheers, Ian
