Popular Post Amer 2,131
Just saw a flash announcement on my smart phone that the Wondercon Convention will showcase Vinyl reissues of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK -Gerhardt album, and THE EIGER SANCTION. Will post more details shortly. UPDATE: Ok I think I found it. Its some feedback at the Varese Wondercon Twitter announcement, about which Titles you would like to see on VINYL. So somebody mentioned EMPIRE and EIGER as a wish list. So since I read that very quickly and couldn't find the post. Im new to Twitter and dont use it enough to properly understand it. So it was a false alarm. Sorry, my bad. But it would be cool to see these Williams titles on Vinyl. I for one love the Gerhradt recording and I like the artwork. P.S. I have changed the Topic text as it was misleading. Miguel Andrade, Incanus and Stempel
Naïve Old Fart 9,603
Let's hope that TES sounds better than either its original vinyl release, and the Verese CD. The Gernhardt? Is that the one with the Ralph Macquarie painting, the one that is often referred to as "Digital Empire"?
Stempel 136
The Cover Painting is by William Stout, not by MacQuarrie
Incanus 5,722
I would be happier with a CD reissue of The Eiger Sanction. Or possibly the complete score. This LP craze is something I'll never understand.
Muad'Dib 1,802
Oooh, Eiger Sanction on vinyl. Now there's a way to feel classy. Naïve Old Fart
Amer 2,131
Strangely for some reason I cant find the message anymore -I think it was on twitter Or Instagram via Varese Sarabande. Maybe somebody spilled the beans a bit early and had it removed.
Incanus 5,722
Certainly looks like it. Varese Facebook doesn't have any info either yet, only announcement that they'll be at Wondercon.

It's still a great cover. Shit! I've just seen THE EIGER SANCTION CD on Amazon for £144:78. I shit you not! I'm glad I bought it in 1990 (smug mode). Naïve Old Fart 9,603
There's nothing wrong with €30, but there comes a time when one has to say "I just cannot afford this, and I don't care if it is JW". In 2002, I saw a Japanese copy of SpaceCamp in a specialist film music store, going for (I kid you not!) £199:99. I didn't buy it.

Naïve Old Fart 9,603
Two reasons: 1) I didn't want a criminal record, and 2) the CD itself was behind the counter. There was no way I could hop over the counter and take the CD without the owner noticing. I bought the Prometheus THE SWARM, instead.
