Marian Schedenig 8,200 Posted November 21, 2003 Share Posted November 21, 2003 The Extended Editions are great, but it would have been too much in cinema.Not for me I think, but I understand that it would probably have been impossible to sell the longer versions to any studio.(actually, I only saw FOTR:EE, TTT:EE comes out here in a few days - is it a BIG improvement?)Bigger than FOTR:EE, as expected. Regarding the Saruman cut, the more I think about it, the less it worries me. Sure, I'm gonna miss it until I watch the EE, but after having seen TTT:EE, they'd cut a lot of important scenes from that movie already. Saruman seems to be one of the easier things to cut from ROTK, if you have to do cuts in the first place. And I do believe that you shouldn't *not* cut a sequence "just" because Christopher Lee is in it.Marian - who thinks the music featurette on the TTT:EE is one of the best ever.
