  1. He literally said this story was going to be made into a video game. There is no mention of an animated short film.
  2. I wouldn’t call Martin Phipps an unknown, but yes, Harry not scoring Napoleon is telling. I don’t think he or Zimmer will score Gladiator 2, though I think “Now We Are Free” will at least be reprised. Marc Streitenfeld recently did Raised By Wolves, with Ridley producing. So that relationship isn’t entirely dead. I could see Zimmer getting a co-composing credit with some other collaborator handling the brunt of the film.
  3. Neil Druckmann stated it in an interview sometime around the games’s original release. Probably IGN since that was the site I frequented at the time. Colin Moriarty references it a lot in his podcasts over the years, but he’s been with IGN, Kinda Funny, and now Last Stand Media, so I can’t recall exactly where to find it.
  4. Ellie has to die because the fungus grows inside the brain. So to retrieve the mutated fungus within Ellie’s brain, they have to kill her. Again, it is canonical that the procedure would be successful in creating a cure.
  5. The show makes Joel out to be a much nicer person than the game, actually. And absolutely you connect with Ellie way more in the game. It’s an aspect of the show that’s sorely missing, in my opinion. I guess I have never really truly, deeply loved a person.
  6. I think it’s important to know that it is canonical in the game that the procedure would have worked and that a vaccine would have been made from killing Ellie. I’ve seen a lot of people siding with Joel’s decision in the show because of this uncertainty. Joel is the villain, to me.
  7. I bet it’ll be advertised as “The Final Film by Quentin Tarantino.”
  8. I’d say Part III, if that’s even what they’re working on, won’t release until 2028 at the earliest. Remember they are currently still working on The Last Of Us MP game as well. Im not familiar with HBO production timelines. You assume each season would take 2 years to make?
  9. Don’t forget Resident Evil 0! Ethan is the protagonist in both 7 and 8.
  10. I don’t remember how Code Veronica fits into the mainline franchise. It’s a side entry, no? RE4 is considered the best game in the franchise. Makes sense to me that they would just go 2, 3, then 4. I don’t anticipate them remaking any of the others. Maybe 5, certainly not 6. I’m more puzzled as to why they didn’t remake the first game again and started with 2.
  11. This is straight from the game. It’s her processing the trauma from the incident with David and being absent-minded. It’s what makes her seeing the giraffe so important. It draws her out of that shell again.
  12. Starfield Spider-Man 2 Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Resident Evil 4
  13. Just enjoy the actions scenes and forget the philosophical mumbo jumbo! There’s a new “Final Cut” that was recently released on the 4K blu-ray, I would recommend that over the Redux.
  14. I’m simply pointing out that “woke culture” is all KM talks about on this message board in recent years. Not specifically about the Oscars, but in regards to all media.
  15. Druckmann said they are maintaining the narrative structure of Part II for Seasons 2 and 3, and that much of it is already mapped out. Other notable tidbits from this interview: - Anna’s backstory was taken from a cancelled prequel game that was in development by a different studio. - They have already decided and are working on their next game, but can’t reveal what it is yet. - The Last Of Us MP game that is currently in development will be revealed later this year. - Abby is not teased in the finale. The KF team notes that there is a braided shadowy figure running away in the hospital (I didn’t catch this). - The farmhouse where Ellie is born is not the same as the one seen in Part II. (It did enter my mind, but as Druckmann says, the geography doesn’t make sense). - Anna is singing an A-ha song to newborn Ellie when Marlene finds her. - He reiterates that he doesn’t want to create a Game Of Thrones scenario with the show, but can’t confirm that won’t happen. It depends on how things shape out in the coming years.
  16. You’ve really made this your personality over the last several years, at least on this message board. Cynical is an understatement!
  17. The game line uses vaccine over cure, is what I meant. So they consciously changed it from the game script. I honestly don’t remember them discussing vaccines earlier in the show, so never mind then!
  18. For those who have never rewatched the show, I highly recommend it whenever you can. You’re all already aware of the twists and turns of the narrative, which gives you a much different perspective the second time around. For better and for worse. There are plot moments you know will never be revisited again, but there is so much more that’s carried throughout that will carry greater context and meaning. Ben becomes an even more sinister antagonist when you know all of his lies. “Locke” in Season 5, in particular, can be appreciated in a completely different way.
  19. I think the show aged incredibly well for the era and the constraints it was created in. I am noticing a lot of bad wigs this time around.
  20. I found it odd that they made a conscious decision to call it a cure instead of a vaccine. Gotta appeal to the lowest common denominator!
