  1. You mean with Mark Olivarez, don't you? You agree with Mark Olivarez, pixie. For you see, I love the X-Men movies! Together with Hellboy I think they are the best films based on comics out there (nowadays). I haven't seen the third one because I don't think I want to. I've read too many times that it misses the Singer ingredient. Good luck! Alex
  2. Really? Damn, then Singer's film must be really good. Hmm ... now I know I must see it.
  3. X-Men is not real science fiction for it would have to present a plausible science.
  4. Not fact at all. Indeed, but why was it presented as a fact with confidence? Better yet, why is the presenter of false information not being penalized? I'm sorry, but could it be that we are we getting soft? Alex
  5. Million Dollar Baby = Raging Bull =
  6. No, what would sound terrible is the higher pitch. Without pitch correction Darth Vader would sound like Mickey Mouse. (I'm exaggerating a little, of course)
  7. It's still sped up but with the right pitch.
  8. It ... was ... a ... test. You ... passed ... it!
  9. Dolph Lundgren: I ... must ... destroy ... you.
  10. Well, I like how in this new movie Stallone doesn't take him self too seriously. And anything will be better that that awful previous one where he fought on the street. Also, I thought that the first teaser (Stallone running in slo-mo with a bunch of guys) was of the ruling kind. Alex
  11. Morricone once said that film and film music written in a symphonic style don't go well together. And I believe he said that after Williams successfully had re-introduced the grand orchestral film scoring style in the 70s (Star Wars, Superman, etc). Suddenly, each movie, even if it was about a man going all day to the toilet, was overscored with symphonic violence. Alex
  12. He didn't do a decent thing since Blade Runner. Most people like 1492 but I'm not one of them. Too corny. Too Frans Bauer. Alex
  13. Don't automatically assume Munich is overly preachy because it really isn't (not verbally, that is). Most of the time Spielberg shows us violence and nothing but violence. The characters themself are hardly preachy. The suspense scenes are 90% of the film. As a matter of fact, when it comes to moralistic preaching, SPR and Schindler's List steal the show. Alex
  14. In your case? Frans Bauer! LOL It all adds up! Alex
