  1. I can't watch every movie to see if I will like it or not. Therefore sources like RT or IMDb can be very useful. I don't think I've ever loved a movie that only scored a 3/10 on IMDb or 25% on RT, so why shouldn't I rely on those tools? Of course, if it's a movie from a favorite director of mine then I will watch it no matter what RT or IMDb are saying. But some unknown movie on Prime or Netflix? You bet I'm gonna check the scores!
  2. A weird thing to say since figures show it was a success. But, yeah, haters will be haters.
  3. 2001: ASO was the second highest grossing movie of 1968, not much behind Funny Girl.
  4. Haven't seen Clean And Sober but I do remember his role in Raising Arizona.
  5. Here's Emmet Walsh as Dustin Hoffman's parole officer in Straight Time (1978) from Ulu Grosbard. As some of you might remember, Ridley Scott actually wanted Dustin Hoffman to play Rick Deckard in Blade Runner and I think this scene with Emmet and Dustin might have something to do with that.
  6. Rest in peace, captain Bryant. I think he knew all along that the Deckard who was sitting in front of him was a replicant.
  7. No, Trevor Horn's Echoes: Ancient & Modern
  8. Pretty good, Thor. Very enjoyable. Love the recording as well.
  9. Those are reserved for romantic comedies. This is horror sci-fi!
  10. Listening to Echos right now. Every track (all covers, I think) is sung by different artist ... Meh ... It's not good. Sounds like background cover versions for restaurants or H&M.
  11. No, not familiar with any of this. Are we still talking about Trevor Horn? To be clear: The Age Of Plastic > Adventures In Modern Recording > Drama
  12. Yes, bare-chested and jeans. Anyway, who knew Trevor Horn has a new album?
  13. Will The Sun apologize if the new James Bond turns out to be Daniel Radcliffe?
  14. There's even a guy deflecting bullets with a light sword. This has to be the worst franchise ever.
  15. Agreed! I stopped watching after a couple of episodes.
  16. Listen again to the intro, especially to the harpsichord. It's vintage JW! Steve was a John Williams fan!! I know it!
  17. Steve Harley had two big hits in the '70s. This one (Sebastian) starts like a vintage JW score.
  18. Apparently he's already working on it. (and the apostle that goes by the name 'crocs' is probably already spreading the word)
