...Wait. Why is the film called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Britain? In the film, the characters refer to the Stone as the Sorceror's Stone. Surely they didn't do two takes of each scene where it's mentioned with the different names? :?
Yeah, same here, the difference being I haven't yet heard most of the "superior" stuff yet. I only have five Williams scores outside of Star Wars and Harry Potter.
Both the film and the book are titled Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone in the United States. It may have been the decision of studio executives to use the American version of the title, but they did not come up with it.
Lucas is reportedly going to do some small, "experimental" films after Star Wars. I don't think he'll make a third trilogy, but I do think he'll continue to "milk the cash cow."
Not all of the sets were computer-generated. The only thing CG about Padmé's apartment, for example, is what's outside. Most of the Geonosian Hangar (final duel) was real, save for the ceiling and maybe one of the walls.
I couldn't possibly cringe during that scene...sure, it's got the wrong theme, but the quality of the music definitely outweighs the improper leitmotif for me.
