  1. Trailers typically don't use music from the movie they're presenting. It's either not recorded yet, or they just want to suppress piracy.
  2. Sorceror's Stone. The Phantom Menace and The Patriot were close seconds. Duel of the Fates, The Flag Parade, Anakin Is Free, Underwater Adventure, Anakin Destroys the Control Ship, The Battle of Naboo...uninvolving underscore?
  3. Richard Bremmer was Voldemort in Sorceror's Stone; who's to say he won't reprise his role? As for Fudge, Ian Holm would have worked better than that...guy who plays him.
  4. Ahhh, so many good cues absent from the CD releases. I can't wait for the boxed set...all...uh...eight or so CDs!
  5. I must say I barely noticed the music when I first saw the film. That was right before my transition to a serious soundtrack fan. Hearing it on the album, though, was wonderful. It interacts with "The Chamber of Secrets" well; they're like good and evil versions of the same theme! (Not that the actual melodies are very similar, but you get that feeling...)
  6. As usual, a movie's score is not well-represented by a seventy-minute album. I tell ya, there are some great cues that didn't make it onto the CD.
  7. Errrr...maybe if there are close-ups of sheet music, we could transcribe it to a MIDI file?
  8. The Catch Me If You Can theme is copyrighted music. Using it without permission would be illegal. BTW, Apu.
  9. All evidence points to the contrary.
  10. Clones has about 120 minutes of new music, hard to believe as it is. There must be a lot that has not even been heard. I myself like the cues that accompany the garage and funeral scenes, the extended "Zam the Assassin," the final duel, and "Emergency Powers." Thing is, though...the edition they were ready to release was, I think, a real expanded edition, not an "ultimate edition."
  11. Wow, I surprised, watching this episode, that the music was not just an imitation of the theme, it was the actual thing... I didn't recognize the Indy music in that...episode (forgot what the rest of it was about) from any of the films. But it's been a while. It was okay. Kind of incoherent.
  12. We will; it's almost inevitable. I also think that it won't take as long as it did for the Trilogy, as music is more...available these days, and we don't have a transition between different media (records to CDs) to worry about. Er, right? I kinda like Jedi Rocks. ...Yeah.
  13. Apparently, Marketing didn't think it would rake in much of a profit. Wrong.
  14. That is a latent Force power! Come now, that's just a cosmetic inconsistency. No biggie!
  15. Will buy the Anthology soon. Perhaps I can make up for not buying the original LPs by, uh, compiling a complete The Phantom Menace soundtrack from music in various computer games. Yeah. (Not to mention a slightly expanded Attack of the Clones!)
  16. Great idea...but it would never happen. IMO dialogue isn't the biggest problem with the prequels.
  17. But for those that already have it, surely the added benefits of the Anthology couldn't hurt!
  18. Well, you gotta credit the stormtroopers with shooting Leia.
  19. See my earlier message, "The lava thing was just speculation. I dunno what happens to him, but he has to get scarred somehow, right?" Upbeat score for an upbeat movie. Episode III's music is gonna be hella dark!
  20. The You-Know-Who...theme... *checks thematic analysis* Right, what we need is the You-Know-Who theme and the Sorceror's Stone motif!
  21. The lava thing was just speculation. I dunno what happens to him, but he has to get scarred somehow, right?
  22. Those are useless subdivisions of tracks. You want to go by the REAL track titles: "Treachery within the Federation - the Invasion of Naboo," "Underwater Adventure," etc.
  23. Whatever. I would've watched Indy IV and enjoyed it, but there's almost no way for it to be as good as the trilogy. I dunno, Lucas may be on the rebound. For one thing, he's certainly ditched the children-friendly style of filmmaking (I've seen the make-up tests for Anakin after he falls into the lava, and they're not very G-rated).
  24. Whoa, wait, "Quidditch Third Year"? I was under the impression there wouldn't be a Quidditch match, considering Oliver Wood was cut from the movie and no images have popped up on the 'Net. (Unless I'm mistaken and they have!) New Quidditch music that isn't a bad joke like the Harry/Malfoy chase in The Chamber of Secrets would be awesome. What makes you say they won't be on the soundtrack? ...Consequently, some of the tracks were less than two minutes long. Shortest movie yet, though.
