  1. And you know, unless you've started at $0....I've seen eBay auctions for seasons 1-7 as low as $200.
  2. 8O As horrible as the above sounds....I still envy you...you get to enjoy it for the first time. Best...TV series...ever....
  3. Because the votes are now spread over 2 choices. 8O More votes, less choices.
  4. 90's.... To be specific 1996-1997... First Contact (Movie) A Call to Arms (DS9) Scorpion (Voyager) The summer with Scorpion and A Call to Arms was especially a painful one. Two kickass cliff-hangers with no conclusion until September.... And then DS9 went off and did the 6 episode Dominion War arc...which was just 8O 8O Just to name a few examples...
  5. I can't decide if I want Hook or SYiT out next...
  6. Something about Across the Stars without strings doesn't do it for me. Then again something about Across the Stars doesn't do it for me...not until it's performances in RoTS anyway
  7. Far and Away better not get voted off.... Out with JFK.
  8. JFK, Hook, and The Lost World disappear... And it'll be a very tough choice for me... Far and Away is my favorite...followed by Phantom Menace and Jurassic Park
  9. So what does a game soundtrack sound like? There are some pretty great ones. Marian - who likes good game scores. Born on the Fourth of July Usually....overly simple...way too ambient...or way too loopy. Or just plan annoying. Way too synthetic...etc. etc.
  10. I picked this up upon the recommendation of a friend. Being a video game score, I treated it with pretty low expectations, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Never heard of Steve Burke before either, but now I'll be keeping an eye on his career. It's some fantastic music, with a nice balance of slow and action cues. There are bits and pieces that remind me of Williams and Goldsmith, but overall it has its own sound. The slower stuff never gets boring, and is quite beautiful (especially the last track), and the action material is just pure energetic stuff. At first I put in and decided to listen to it in the background while doing some other work, and from the first track, I decided against that, and paid full attention. Definitely recommend it to you all, one of the best out of 2005. Unfortunately, it seems to have passed under the radar being a game soundtrack (and it honestly doesn't sound a bit like one, it could just as well accompany an epic feature). It's a very energizing soundtrack. And I just found some [very good quality] samples of a few of the tracks: http://www.kameosoundtrack.com/
  11. Actually...I just tried it oddly enough the Klingon Battle transitions in to that almost perfectly as well.
  12. Am I the only one who can hear well pronounced hints of Vader's theme in "An Angry God" from the Final Frontier?
  13. Dances With Wolves, bar none... I'm not a big fan of Barry...but that score is just fantastic. Titanic is a good second choice though.
  14. No I'll just laugh. -Mark..... That works too. 8O
  15. I'm not too big a fan of a good deal of John William's dramatic scores. Say what you will about Horner, but I find his dramatic scores superior to that of John Williams. The Missing, Titanic, Legend of the Fall, Glory, Spitefire Grill....all come to mind. Go ahead shoot me.
