  1. I programmed it as an ' lp' , 45 minutes. HOMECOMING is too long for that format It's really just a recapitulation of all the themes. I listen to it as a standalone track. Doesn't work as an album track, since it's really not part of the film. But, yeah it's a great suite! Marshall don't do downloads!😠 MINORITY REPORT is a great example!
  2. Don't you have one of those gadgets to shut down threads?
  3. The direction of WHITE NIGHT and DEZTRUCTION of Westeros were badly handled ( esp. WHITE). BUT... the non- battle scenes were of the same high quality as what came before. Think of Brienne being knighted, Sensor saving Arya, the opening scene of the last episode where Kaleesi addresses the troops... " littered"? Methinks NOT.
  4. I made an LP version that I think is a great listen Total time : 44 minutes
  5. Alexander the Great Napoleon Bonaparte.... wanted to " break the wheel" also. She was a complex and fascinating character but was destined to be a tyrant. Listen to Tyrian's soliloquy to Snow in the last episode. Great writing!
  6. IWESTWORLD Is not really a show that anyone gets emotionally INVESTED in. Season two became totally incomprehensible in the last few episodes.. Normally, I would rewatch them to get the plot points. But, I really didn't care. Season three probably had tons of plot holes but I just don't bother.. It's not GOT or MR. ROBOT& shows where the intricacies of the plot lines MATTER. ALOT! I really don't get the claim that GOT " betrayed " it's previous characters and plotlines. The weakness in s. 8 was in the direction of the big battle scenes toward the end of the run .I thought the final episode was excellent. Folks who hated it just didn't like what happened to Daenrys
  7. He did leave off some excellent cues from A.I., which is why many fans picked up the FYC
  8. Well, it had a great last episode, despite what the crybabies think.
  9. I haven't purchased any of the RECENT expansions where I had the original; JP, INFERNO, POSEIDON, SCHINDLER.. JAWS 2, MR, E.T. SUPERMAN.A.I. ( I might have picked this up if I didn't have the 2cd FYC). I did get the INDY BOX and LLL POSEIDON and E.T. 20th anniversary
  10. I know. I know😔😥😒 Underrated, if anything! The critics of season 8 are way off base.
  11. It's also an intriguing speculation on a futuristic society. Kind of an allegory of our times with a autocratic plutocracy running everything and the working class doing all the dirty work - think H.G. Wells THE TIME MACHINE et. al. It's the combined story lines of humans. A.I. and robotics that make the show watchable. But, three seasons in, the producers still haven't quite got the recipe perfected. One thing has been consistent: the fantastic production values. I'm surprised HBO ordered up another season; must be costing them $$$$!
  12. PROMETHEUS [heh..heh!] Curse...cuss...curse...expletive..expletives...cuss...curse...expletives... Curse ...cuss.. And the Emmy for Best screenplay goes to....
  13. This season could have been GREAT... Unfortunately, they decided that boring, predictable, ineptly staged and repetitive action scenes were what fans craved. We don't. We want the visionary set design and futuristic cityscapes. We want the intriguing philosophical constructs and provocative ideas. These last two we got in season three. You could edit out 90 percent of the ' action' lose nothing of interest. Season three was a near brilliant combo of MR. ROBOT and BLADE RUNNER. Too bad they had to throw in GENERIC DC/MCU dreck into the mix Brm Ps Djwadi did ANOTHER great job- but I agree there was way too much music
  14. The Memorial Day/Month sale is over but I highly recommend LESS THAN ZERO by T. NEWMAN. Hauntingly beautiful and a unique score in his canon. I only recently became aware of it via it playing on CIN EMAGIC streaming service on SIRIUSXM.
  15. The trailer is AMAZING ! A two minute movie with great musical accompaniment.
  16. Well, you can't plagiarize yourself but you can ' borrow' from the classics: " The Planet Krypton" = " Pines of Rome" by Respighi " BOTFJ" = aria from TURANDOT The main difference between Horner and JW, is the latter is much better at disguising his influences!😳 THE COWBOYS = JFK
  17. I knew I was going to love the music for WAR HORSE just from the trailer Unfortunately, the theme in the trailer is only heard fleetingly in the score and never truly developed ( " Plowing" at 3:30). It wish JW did a " E.T and Me" style arrangement of this gorgeous melody. Had he possibly done this for concerts? Thanks! Brm
  18. " The Village" was written for the scene near the end when Witt revisits the Islanders, who now fear him. Wonderful music that I believe contains a variation on the Faure theme. Unfortunately, it was replaced in the finished film
  19. has not set their status
