I still don't know which one is the friendship theme and which one is the victory theme. I think they are both pretty subpar for Williams. With the other scores I can listen to them and instantly recognize the new material. With this one I find myself wondering "Is that a new theme? If so which one is it?"

What do you think is happening then? 16 hours? Where did you pull that number from?

I want a composer to use a chorus to sing in an obscure language, "I can't believe people took the time to translate this crap." 😛

I really enjoy both films. They're not really thought-provoking but that's not what I'm looking for in a SW film.

The SE releases of the OT have everything I need. TPM:UE has everything I need. I have bootleg scores for ROTS, TFA, TLJ so i don't need more there. That leaves AOTC and Rogue One. I have the majority if AOTC, so I chose Rogue One.

For me: TPM > ANH >>>>TFA ESB >TLJ >>>>>>>AOTC ROTS = ROTJ >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>TROS

I think you give Lucas too much credit to think that there is some hidden meaning we are all missing here. These movies aren't that deep. Didn't he himself say they're essentially kids movies? The Skywalker saga is over.

No, you assume that's not true. You have no more evidence than the rest of us. Palpatine not being in Trevorrow's script proves to me it was a last minute idea. But please, keep repeating the same stuff over and over because you have no more evidence. I suppose "what's coming" will be in The Mandalorian, but it doesn't prove anything. When the novelization of The Force Awakens was written, it was not decided yet that Palpatine would be in the trilogy. Involved how? 😄😄😄

I don't get being so excited for a track list for the whole score for a movie you've seen already. You already know what's on it!! So now when is it being released?

Every time I see an article on the internet that says, "somehow the Emperor survived" or "somehow Palpatine is still alive" or something like that I realize how bad of an idea bringing back Palpatine was.

@Mattris, ok, you win. I guess I'm not as big a fan as I thought I was. Everyone I know was surprised by Palpatine's return and was pretty disappointed in Rey being a Palpatine. I guess none of us are as smart as you. I am humbled by your wisdom.

Of the ST scores, TLJ is my favorite by far and TROS is the one I never listen to. That's how I feel about the actual films, too. I still don't remember what the new themes in TROS even sound like.

I quit reading when I realized none of those clues had anything to do with Palpatine returning. When you heard Episodes 7-9 were being made did you assume Palpatine was going to show up? We all assumed Palpatine died at the end of ROTJ. And that's how it should have remained.
