We're not discussing where the merit or craft of any film lies, where discussing wether we have the right to dismiss integrant parts of someone else's story as not being really part of the story. None of us has the right do it because none of us is the crafter of the story. You don't want to considerer the prequels starwars, fine, but that doesn't change the fact that they are, no matter what, true starwars films. Pretty interesting. I must see this movie sometime. Looks like Poltergeist is as much a Spielberg film as The Empire Strikes back is Lucas'.

I never heard anything form 1941, so I had to vote for the Cantina Band (specially part 1).

I never saw the film, have no knowledge of the making of it, so I have no idea how much of spielberg is there or not.

It's still a gret film, though. Probably the most popular Indy movie around here (my own town). Not that I agree with them, but it sill is a great joy ride with an amazing score.

I really don't like star trek. As SF is concerned (which I do not consider starwars to be part of), everything bows before DUNE

I ADORE THE DUNE CHRONICLES. The movie kinda sucks. You could've quoted the book itself, couldn't you? Melange: the "spice of spices", the crop for which Arrakis is the unique source. The spice, chiefly noted for its geriatric qualities, is mildly addictive when taken in small quantities, severely addictive when imbibed in quantities above 2 grams daily per seventy kilos of body weight. (see Ibad, Water of Life and Pre-Spice Mass). Muad'Dib claimed the spice as key to his prophetic powers. Guild navigators make similar claims. Its price on the Imperial market nas ranged as high as 620,000 solaris the decagram.

Myabe a fully suited vader with Jones' voice will only be onscreen 5 minutes, but I think Anakin will become vader before the duel, although not fuly suited as we know him. He will become a sith before that. His injuries will just force Anakin to adopt a new look.

The prequels are starwars. Ofically or not, I don't care, they are. It's all part of the same story. If you don't like it, fine, but it's still starwars. You don't have the right to consider it starwars or not because you are not the one who created it. If george lucas says it's part of the saga, it's because it is and it's the way he wants his story told. It's just the way it is.

Actually I think the opening track from Nixon is far more similar to the Imperial march than to DOTF, not meaning they are really that similar.

It's the only Spielberg movie I've never watched. I even saw Sugarland Express, but not 1941. I haven't even listened to a single note of the score. As you can see, I'm pretty much in the dark in what concerns 1941.

Yes, I wish Williams would composed a concert suite fo the Droid March. Speaking of new themes in Episode III, maybe Bail Organa will have a theme of his own or Dooku (Bail Organa is to be a major character in Episode III). THis of course would bring similar problems to the absence of the imperial March in ANH.
