    I've read the first issue of this by the way. The art is fantastic and it seems to be a good adaptation. If you haven't read the script it's something completely different but so many elements of the final films show up in one way or another.

    The theme from the original series. My knowledge of Star Trek is limited so we could be talking about complete different things here.

    Not a big Star Trek fan anyway. Only know the original and his. I prefer his.

    Musically speaking it's a well done arrangement of that theme, but it comes totally out of the left field and really takes me out of the film. Good music, but bad scoring. Star Wars Prequel level bad! Like I said it threw me the first time but after that it was fine. Like Nature's Reclamation for Rohan. Shouldn't be there but it sounds great!

    I think it sounds good where it is. I was a bit thrown initially in the cinema but it suited the moment even if I do associate it with the Ringwraiths. I'm willing to wait for an explanation but if "It sounded cool" is all we get then I'm happy with that. At least it was a new recording (alt. lyrics to iirc) and not just tracked. Then again, I have a lot less problems with this score in general than most of the people on here. Maybe it's just me.

    I listened to the Sci-Fi bit last night. First time I really took note of Giacchino's main theme for Star Trek. It's very good. Really enjoyed the suite. The Williams stuff at the end was the highlight. I'd never heard that arrangement of the Cantina Band before... not sure what to make of it either. Princess Leia's theme was beautiful though.

    Episode 9 is always a big deal and there's an event* that seems ready made for it but wouldn't really fit in with that. I guess parts of 4 and 5 overlap with it anyway don't they? I read all the books together this summer so they all kind of meshed into one. *I don't want to spoil anything but I'm sure you can guess what I mean.

    I wonder how much of books 4 and 5 we're going to get this season. Reading books 4 and 5 I got worried that they'd kill the show stone dead but I guess once you combine them and trim all the fat there's some good stuff that goes on.

    I use a set of AKG K121 Studio headphones. Think they were in the region of about €100. Sound quality is very good if a bit bass heavy (or maybe I'm just used to tinny earbuds). Only problem is they leak sound like crazy. Fine if I'm on my own but no good for the bus or train.

    Just finished re-watching this series last night. It really is top quality stuff. Is there a release date yet for series yet or are we just assuming an early 2014 release?
