  1. I somewhat agree with this. It's not really effective but it is workman-like. It does work in some scenes in the movie, but it actively distracts from others. It's alright on CD and I will probably buy it eventually (especially if I can find it for $3 like I did the first Pirates score). I do think that GOF was somewhat better and more cohesive but all in all the music has gone downhill, and far more than it needed to, since Williams left the franchise.
  2. I really hope they use the release of Indy IV to help promote new full score releases for the first three films.
  3. The theme for DS9 was as horrible as the show. Boring and uninspired. More proof that McCarthy can't score for ****.
  4. You'd think that right? But wasn't there a study done somewhere that compared Wikipedia with something like Encyclopedia Britannica and found they both contain about the same amount of accuracy? Also it's important to remember that it's likely many of the so called "amateurs" on Wikipedia are actually professionals in those subjects in their "real life."
  5. Wait... weren't you giving me shit over at tf.n for not liking this score and how it works in the film?
  6. I think that comparing apples and oranges is rather silly. The movies are great as movies and the books are great as books. I see no point in comparing different media. It's like Goethe, who felt the same artistic marks of excellence could not be applied to both paintings and literature. Each medium requires its own set of criteria.
  7. No I grew up and got taste...
  8. I am sure you saw the smiley indicating I was only jokingly calling you a dumbass...
  9. Well that pretty much makes Eric look like an dumbass... I am glad it beat GOF. I think it's a better film.
