I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but the principal players of the Boston Symphony Orchestra do not play for the Boston Pops Orchestra (with some exceptions). In turn, the associate principals of the BSO become the principals of the Pops, and the extra chair is filled with another freelancer/subsitute player.

The orchestra isn't quite as polished as the ones in Boston, London, and LA (some of the brass struggle with intonation occasionally, and they do miss notes on some of the more difficult passages) but their energy and clear enjoyment of the music is infectious, and makes for a great listen. The conductor's enthusiasm is also very fun to watch.

Apparently the musicians recorded their parts separately, and it was all edited together after the fact. Check the opening fanfare: there are three trumpet players, but they recorded their parts twice each (you can see them wearing different clothes!) Yeah, I'm looking now and I don't know where I would put it, either... maybe before Han Solo and the Princess? But you're probably right just to leave it off.

You COULD always include "The Adventures of Han." It's definitely an outlier in the musical landscape; it makes sense that you left it off, since it doesn't really have a place in the Skywalker Saga, but I thought I'd mention it. I also wouldn't end with A New Hope and End Credits, but that's just a personal preference; I know it's controversial but I would probably go with the Finale track from Episode IX.
