  1. Some fantastic Rey's theme material missing from both album and FYC, when she's training in the woods. Maybe my favorite thing about this score outside of the big thematic stuff is how Kylo's theme transforms as the character transforms. First the heroic version, then the final sad statement as he crawls out of the pit and over to Rey. Brilliant leitmotif work.
  2. I guarantee you he meant the Emperor’s theme because he said «The Phantom theme» and that theme figures prominently in TPM
  3. While not every second of every score Williams has written is ESSENTIAL, I do agree with this. Because I've heard some FILLER in the last ten-to-twenty years and Williams doesn't do that. Nothing is half-assed.
  4. That moment when it explodes in "Fathiers" is fantastic but it's not enough, I wanted more like that.
  5. The Rise of the Skywalker theme is so gorgeous man, love how it hits a melancholy nerve as well
  6. No idea how you guys are hearing it but I have to be patient I guess
  7. So according to Pawel in the spoiler score reaction thread, this is not heard in the movie (to his recollection, at least)
  8. On second thought, let's not to go New Zealand. It is a silly place.
  9. If I heard it in a SW video game or something I would think it's a very good approximation but I'm almost sure it's not from the score. But we shall see shortly!
  10. This is truly historic, I know this forum loves to joke or whatever but this is the end of a 42 year journey. I'm so excited!
  11. Seriously. The only four scores I consider to be almost as good as ESB, is Superman, Star Trek TMP and Temple of Doom is most likeliy ROTJ
  12. The buildup to the Superman theme with the ostinato at 2:30
  13. The bit of action music in the "They fly now?" clip is not present on the FYC album funnily enough
  14. Is Michael Abel's "Us" eligible, it has a lot of references to a specific pop song doesn't it?
