  1. Quite. I'll listen, asap (right after I've listened to the big-ass SGT. PEPPER box, and 1245678).
  2. Shit! Now Strauss is ripping-off Giacchino! This will not stand, man, this ripping-off will not stand!
  3. That's on my "to do" list. In the meantime, I'm still none the wiser. The top one might be the no-talent with the underbite, from TFA. I'm completely in the dark about the bottom one, although she does look nice in her soaking wet top, I'll give you that. Now...if either Julie Christie, or Helen Mirren did that...
  4. Nice. I liked that he said that the characters are family. IMO, the best TV shows take on that extra personal significance, and meaning. One invests more of oneself, one immerses oneself in the displayed environment, one actually cares about what one is seeing.
  5. To my eternal shame, that one that I've not heard. I'll check it out asap. Thanks for the tip. "Deutsche Grammophon"? Er...
  6. Has anyone bought the mega SGT. PEPPER release? I got mine, yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to unwrap it. I might just wait until the 1st.
  7. Well, all other Vangelis' CDs bow at the altar of BLADE RUNNER, but my second favourite is SEE YOU LATER. I also like THE BOUNTY, THE CITY, MASK, DIRECT, CHINA, ALBEDO 0.39, SPIRAL, and HEAVEN AND HELL. The jury's out on BEAUBOURG . I wish there was a proper release of MISSING, and complete COF (the "training" music is great). I'm also partial to your abracadabra SHORT STORIES, PRIVATE COLLECTION, and, especially THE FRIENDS OF MR CAIRO (THE MAYFLOWER is...wow!). that's enough to be going on with.
  8. Fantastic, Alex. My third favourite Vangelis CD.
  9. It's nice, and it certainly has a retro sound, and look (for the vidro, I'm thinking I WOULDN'T NORMALLY DO THIS SORT OF THING). I must say, though, I prefer HARD TIMES by The Human League.
  10. All he had to do was to wait 22 years, and watch his friend jump it.
  11. (sexy voice) I have a message for you. (suave, English) I think you just delivered it. ("I want you, now", look, from receptionist)
  12. I'm sorry, but I lost all interest in that, when I read "moderated by Christopher Nolan". As for "the biggest film in history", what Spielberg said was "George, this film is going to do 30 million". It is true that Lucas showed a rough cut to De Palma, Coppola, Spielberg, and, maybe, Scorsese, and Milius. Everyone derided it...apart from Spielberg.
  13. Did your mom like THE SAINT? THE PERSUADERS! is a great show.
  14. I should find this amusing, and affectionate, but, instead its crude, unfunny, and obnoxious. If this McFarlane person pays tribute to a piece of music that he likes, by farting, what would he do to something he dislikes?
  15. I agree with Stu. ANNIE HALL is the better film.
  16. LOL. Rush In Rio! Of course! Thank you for that, Nick. If Bond did have a red Barchetta, he could go for a nice morning drive. The was a "countdown" to the shuttle "take off". The Brits had a missing shuttle. One could say they were..."losing it". I bet the shuttle cost..."big money".
  17. Jaws never mouthed "what the fuck?!". That's possibly the best JW Pepper line.
  18. Tall guy, who doesn't say a word, and makes out he's deaf, and Goldilocks, is a counterargument? Look after Mr. Stu. See that some harm comes to him.
  19. Three are many things to admire about it. The design, music, photography, and SFX, are all top-notch, but, coming on the heels of TSWLM, it all seems like a carbon-copy.
