  1. At least it's not as bad as Potter forums where you get a 48-hour spank for saying something remotely negative about JK Rowling's poor writing.
  2. Joe, you make me jealous. I really think I should have made a thread titled "We are witness to JK Rowling's declining ability".
  3. I'd say ROTS is a very, very good score, but not "great". We have to be careful what we tout as "great" these days, because most new things just don't cut it as fine.
  4. Your dreams have come true...
  5. "As The Water..." sounds a bit like "Fluffy's Harp". Maybe JoeinAr will like this score afterall.
  6. Interesting little score. I hear a bit of The Last Crusade in there, funnily enough, in "Finding Satsu".
  7. I have no idea about this imposter, but I am interested in a larger version of that Padme drawing on the far right of your sig. Quite purdy.
  8. War of the Worlds is a very good score that I loved upon first listen. I hope Munich does the same. Each new Williams score usually has something interesting for me to find, and I'm sure this will be no different.
  9. The odds are against it. I recall reading something about how those damn Salkinds attempted to pull some technical contractual crap with both Williams and Brando regarding using their material in the sequels. That's why Jor-El in Superman II was not seen and was voiced by some other actor, and of course, Williams didn't score Supes II but his themes were retreaded by good ol' Ken Thorne and performed by what sounded like a high school band. By the way, I recall the Salkinds ran into similar troubles before when they produced a sequel to their Three Musketeers movie with leftover footage. The actors were pissed when they didn't get paid for the sequel! Either way, thank God Donner is doing this. I was one of the SuperGeeks who petitioned Warner Bros last year! It's been 25 years, hopefully feelings have changed and Donner knows what to do.
  10. Potter ain't the be-all and end-all. I always laugh at posters at IMDb who reckon Williams turned down GOF to do ROTS, they seem to have no sense of time.
  11. Joe, mate, I'd really love to know what drives your contempt about this score despite not hearing it yet.
  12. I've been waiting for this for a while, not quite as long as others, but enough. The one thing I hoped we'd gain from it is another score from John Williams, it wouldn't make sense not hire him.
  13. There are so many Goldsmith scores he hasn't reviewed yet, such as The Omen trilogy, Alien and Twilight Zone: The Movie.
  14. I would never take advantage of a sexually immature species. You can assure him that's the truth, can't you?
  15. Someone taking Hitch seriously? I never would have imagined. Anyhoo, I tend not to try to get into a score any further if it doesn't impress me during the first listen or two. First impressions last forever with me. Call me narrow minded, but that's the way things are with me.
  16. Thanks, George. Actual evidence to support bashers' claims that Star Trek is gay.
  17. Still time for Doyle's score to be rejected by tests audiences, and Williams re-scoring in 3 weeks(they'll record the score live at the goF premiere, like he did for E.T. in 2002. K.M.
  18. If I was in the running, all the Potterfans I recently upset would see to it I wouldn't win.
  19. I'm actually quite impressed when someone knows about Oingo Boingo.
  20. After all this, I wonder how bad enthusiasts of foreign music or super-obscure bands have it in CD stores.
