  1. Okay, I just bought Dinosaur for $12. My first James Newton Howard soundtrack. I'll post my thoughts on it later in the "What's the last score you listened to" thread after I've listened to it.
  2. Tell me more about Dinosaur, I've seen it in stores, but I'm not sure about it.
  3. And he bloody hell deserved it, too. That was a damn fine score.
  4. I love Fawkes! He should get a role in Hitch's next film!
  5. "Howard Shore the next John Williams" some people have said? Yeah right.

  7. Except James Newton Howard is not Jerry Goldsmith or Elliot Goldenthal. Neil Damn right. Best sig ever, by the way.
  8. And the film version of "Ra, The Sun God". More "Ra" chanting in that one.
  9. Sure, I've called Shore's LOTR scores rather bland at times, but they go and replace one partically bland composer with and even MORE bland composer? What's the world coming to?
  10. I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic but... isn't it obvious?
  11. Swell? Orson, there are very few people left in the world who say "swell"... especially when producers pick an actor for James Bond who has the swarve, sophistication and appearance of Gollum.
  12. I agree, ultimatly Anakin's theme is the best theme to come out of the Prequels, the scores would have been a lot stronger if Williams would have taken that theme furter in the other 2 films. YUP! But alas no. Williams got stuck with brooding underscore and minimized the use of Anakin's theme. Maybe Rick Berman was controlling Lucas' directions with the music.
  13. The Evil Sign by Jerry Goldsmith 1. Go Satan! 2. Devil is Born 3. Thorn Gets a New Job 4. Damien Runs Off 5. Raving Priest 6. Maniac Kid 7. Baboons Attack the Car 8. "I'm going MAD!" 9. Priest Gets Killed by His Own Church, what a loser 10. More Evil Damien Music 11. Wife In Hospital 12. Jackal Grave 13. Puppy Dogs 14. Kathy is Dead 15. Jennings the Photographer Loses his Head 16. 14. That's one of my favourite parts about that track. It's so jam-packed with different fanfares along with interesting suspense and action cues. I think it's among some of the best tracks of the prequels.
  15. Not particularly. Neil Last one out is a rotton egg!
  16. Those are all my favourite tracks too! I especially love "Enter Lord Vader". beerchug

LA-LAAAAAA... LA-LAAAA-LAAAAAAAAA 10. Bright Buildings with Robot Prostitutes 11. Finding Meryl Streep 12. Electronic Kid Finds Mum and Dies 13. A Long Time (Sung by the same lady and a guy with a weird voice)
  18. I was on the same boat as KM when ROTS was leaked. I now blame the poor mp3 sound quality for its blandness at the time. Now that I have it on CD, it jumps at me like an alien facehugger. I don't think it's quite as good as TPM, but better than AOTC.
  19. Source. At least this is real confirmation of just one Williams theme after it mysteriously disappeared from the US poster.
  20. Mah board... look what they did to mah board! They massacred mah board!
  21. Oh come on, the LOTR scores can't be that bad, can they? Neil - defending LOTR??? You're the JWfan.net moderator. You have a duty!
