Is Captain Typho a clone of Jango Fett?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to Wojo's topic in General Discussion
KM was either tired or high when he saw that film. However, the final clones vs Droids battle does has way to much going on for people to fully grasp what they are seeing. I think Lucas has an unrealistic idea of how quickly we can comprehend visual information. Stefancos- who didn't notice any Jedi getting killed. -

Stay of that stuff, remember, Cocaine really screws you up. Stefancos- -
They did include both themes, remember the End Credits? Stefancos-

KM, near the end of the film, Darth Sideous calls Dooku "Darth Tyrannus". Stefancos- who thinks KM was sleeping though nost of AOTC. -
Originally a music video featuring track 2 was supposed to be released, but for some reason they chanced that, even though they kept the title. The European version of the AOTC CD lists track 2 as 02 Across the Stars (Love Theme From Attack of the Clones) Stefancos- who doesn't like the title Across the Stars

Haven't noticed it at all, to me AOTC sounds very good. Stefancos-

I did notice a lot of New zealanders in the film, must have been easier and cheaper to use them, like it was easier to use Brits in the original trilogy. -
Favorite Williams-Collaborating Soloist(s)
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to a topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
Evan, what do you think of the Yo-Yo Ma plays The Music Of John Williams CD? Bought it London a few weeks back, I think it's great, love that Cello Concerto, and the Elegy, and Heartwood. Stefancos- who also likes that cello slapping in the Rosewood cue. -
The name Palpatine is not used in any of the first 3 films, although i'm not ure about the credits. And you are right, McDiarmid was by far the best thing in TPM, and i was a bit dissapointed that we did not see more of him. As for the story in TPM, it's there, but it's rather poorly executed. Stefancos- who thinks AOTC handles it's story better. (it doesn't spend 30 minutes on a Podrace that has nothing to do with the main story)

Would you attend a Member Meeting?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to Sandor's topic in General Discussion
Well, i already met Hitch, and i was suposed to meet Darth Furter and Toxoplasman together with hitch for the concert last month, but they chickened out, using some lame excuse about lack of money, grueling exams...bla...bla...bla. I also remember seeing a picture of Oskar...doing a strip act. Wait a minute....no...come to think of it, i have no memory of that what so ever. As for a membership meeting...might be nice. Stefancos- who wonders if The Ghoest would attend. :lookaround: -
Why Star Wars is simply the best.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to JoeinAR's topic in General Discussion
You are right Joe, those kids don't know what they are talking about, but oneday, when they will be as old and experienced as you and I, then they will know. Stefancos- who saw part of The Towering Inferno yesterday, but had to turn off the TV. -
Episode III title: ?????
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to PetePan's topic in General Discussion
Should you not direct Ep 3, Sir Hitch? Atleast we would get some suspense, cropdusters, scandilly clad blondes (suddenly Amidala will have blond hair ), and a cameo by you as Sir Alfred The Hutt. offcourse Johnny will score the film, incorporating themes from Psycho and North By Northwest and the Main Theme from Family Plot. And the title of ep 3 will be: Star Wars: Episode III- The Trouble With Anakin. Stefancos- who will enjoy Tippy's cameo as Amidala's mother. -
Great film and great score by Bennie Herrmann. Good to see you here, Sir Hitch, be sure to invite your friends Mr. DePalma and Mr Verhoeven, and that Spielberg kid, that you trew of the soundstage in Universal studio's. Stefancos- who has a cameo as the red head secretly taping Bernard Herrmann's music during a concert performance in his latest film "THE COMPOSER FROM HELL."

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to JoeinAR's topic in General Discussion
My fav Trek moments. ST 1- the 6 minute Enterprise scene, gloriues mixture of special effects and music. ST 2- thw whole Battle in the Mutara Nebula/Genesis countdown sequence, and offcourse Spocks death. ST 3 the 'Dr McCoy and i have to do this, you do dot."scene, the moment when you can see that Kirk will go back to Genesis, regardless of the consequenses, Kirk's reaction to David's death, and the Katra Ritual and Spock's return. ST 4- to many to name, the script might be filled with plot holes, but the film has so mant great moments, especially the scnes of kirk and spock in San Fransisco. ST 5- the camp-fire scene, McCoy's scene were we see him with his dying father, Spock and Kirk near the end "please, not in front of the Klingons" ST 6- The scene between Kirk and Spock, were Kirk confesses his rascism. The uncomfortable diner scene, Sulu coming down hard on Christian Slater, the forced mind meld, the final goodbye scene. Generations- The enterprise B scenes (nice comfortable banter between Kirk, Scotty and Chekov), the disturbing scene were Picard breaks down and starts crying, Data tasting food, the crash of the Enterprise, Picard's Nexus scene, the pleasant banter between Kirk and Picard. First Contact- Picard'd nightmare, the battle against the Cube, the Lily/Picard scenes, the Data/Borg Queen scenes, Zef Cochrane "You people are all astronauts...on some kind of star trek?", Troi drunk, the First Contact scene. insurrection- Worf, Data and Picard singing "A British tar', Worlf's "gorch", the duscussion between Picard and Anij (well acted, with a long single take shot, and a great cue by Goldsmith), The Riker Manuever, "And have you noticed how your boobs are starting to firm up?" , the kiss between Picard and Anij (oh, wait, they cut that out. ) TNG- The scenes between Data and Lal (The Offspring), Ensign Ro, the scenes with Picard and Sarek (Sarek and Unification part 2), most scenes from The Inner Light, "THERE...ARE...FOUR...LIGHTS!!!" (Chain Of Command part 2), the final scene of All Good Things. DS9- the battle at Wolf 359, the confrontation between Sisko and Picard, the moment when Sisko break down (Emissary), The entire The Homecoming/The Circle/The Siege story, Kira's confession in "Necessary Evil", The destruction of The Odyssey in "The Jem `Hadar", the "Crossover" episodes to the parralell "Mirror, Mirror universe, especially tightly leather clad dominatrix Intendant Kira. The Way Of The Warrior, The Visitor, the kiss between Dax and Lenar Kahn in "Rejoined", then entire 7 part story of season 5 and 6 (from Call to Arms to Sacrifice of Angels), Sisko and Gul Dukat in "Waltz" (great acting), the concept, acting and general execution of the episode "Far Beyond the Stars", Jadzia's death and Sisko's dispear in "Tears of the Prophets", Avery Brooks intense performance of Sisko in the season 7 openers "Image in the Sand and Shadows and Symbols", the script, music and acting in "The Siege of AR-558", Dukat's eerie turn in "Covenant", the last half of season 7, were most plot threads are neatly tied together. The goodbye scenes in "What you Leave Behind", the final shot of the space station, underscorec by McCarthy's powerfull theme. Offcourse i could include all those wonderfull little moments between Quark and Odo, O'Brien and Bashir, Dax and Sisko, Garak, Dukat, Winn, Damar, Weyoun...etc...etc... Voyager- Scorpion part 1 and 2, great script, acting and music (someone release it DAMMIT!!!) Stefancos- who will buy ALL the Deep Space Nine DVD's when they FINALLY release them. -
Thing that need to happen in Episode III
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to Hector J. Guzman's topic in General Discussion
would it not be a bit soon for them to start building the Death Star, i mean, it won't be completed for 20 years or so. It didn't take them nearly as long to build one in ROTJ. Stefancos- who hopes Ep 3 will not include a kiddie Han solo (kiddie Greedo and kiddie Boba were more then enough, thank you) -
O.T. What are your favorite "Star Trek" moments.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal replied to JoeinAR's topic in General Discussion
It does, but remember, Star trek got there first, with The journey to Babel, which featured scenes of several alien races eating and drinking aboard The Enterprise. It was a low budget show, so they could not do the elaborate staging and make up that star wars had, but Trek definatly had it first. Also, the creators od DS9 have always said thay Quark's Bar was inspired by the star wars cantina. Stefancos- who likes it when the 2 greatest sci-fi franchises inspire each other. -
I have the TPM vinyl set. I'll ndever play it, but i keep it as a sign of sexual prowes and virtility, the chicks really dig it. Stefancos-delusional.

Did E.T. have a name?!?
