I like the Jaws Varese, but since they were at it they should have made a hybrid album consisting of the film cues plus the extended cues like Promenade,Out to Sea,One Barrel Chase..ect... like on the Original album, they needed a fresh recording, instead of cloning the 25th aniversary release. K.M.
Yes,it has a rarely achieved epic quality. As for Willow,i think it sorts of muddles down in the second half of the score with some of the long battle cues K.M.
You know,by `beautiful`cues i mean in the style of Princess Leia`s Theme,Yoda`s Theme,Fawkes...ect...,not pounding action cues like The Truck Chase of course For me it`s Theme from Jurassic Park,i think that cue is the most beautiful over all. K.M.
Anyone notice that in The Helicopter Rescue on the Varese Debney version, the seventh note of the Main Fanfare (as Superman lifts up the helicopter)is wrong? K.M.
Enterprise theme from STTMP Ilea's Theme Love theme from Logan's Run Caroll Ann's Theme from Poltergeist Jeremy's Theme from Secret of Nihm "Flight" theme from The Blue Max End Credit theme from The Swarm "Passing of time" motif from Alien (in Hyperspace) Gizmo's theme from Gremlins Kick the Can from Twilight Zone Explorer's Main Theme(The Construction) K.M.
Let me break it down for you: -Horrible acting (with a few exceptions) -Terrible casting (Hoffman as Capt Hook? I rest my case) -Abysmal dialogue -Utterly boring "action" sequences -A storyline without any inspiration WHAT-SO-EVER -Poor direction (Spielberg F'ed this one up big time) What is there to appreciate in this film? NOTHING! Save for maybe some good set design, but thats about it. did you actually see it,or you just read that. K.M.
Ken, could you please be more sensitive to others? Yeah man, your so insensitive,in The Etheral Ream of Shadows where I lurk the new year is July 1 KM. SPFM,Tribute to Jerry Goldsmith
I agree BotFJ is pretty much the same from track to track.Having the boot can permit you to select the few versions of the main theme you like the best...actually mine is only on the Boot. K.M.
Jar Jar looks `real`as he really looks like some guy in a costume, not that actors in suits make more realistic monsters. Only Gollum`s hair looked animated at times, but I saw RotK projected on an IMAX screen so i could see all flaws. K.M.
