I think nobody believe he is as good as Williams... though some comments seem to sound like it, but im sure the thing is that we do not explain ourselves as well as we should, so the misunderstanding. I hope i speak for anyone who likes Giachinno. And stefan, your descriptions sounds like Alan Menken... (who unfortunately has more oscars than Williams and 3 consecutive years!)

OK, it was a misunderstatement(SP?) from my part, then. But im not wrong. CGI is better than stop motion. Of course im not denying the importance of the first in the latter development. You cannot believe as real the old SFX (people of its time did, but they were easily impressed since everything was new and people didnt had the knowledge the normal people do nowadays) There are some CGI shots that you cannot say if they are real or not, and in nexts years it has to achieve someday 'true' reality. Those Movies' SFX will never get outdated. Mattmat: yes they would. The SFX there are very good, but not the best out there, specially the huge battles. It has achieved that popularity because of the popularity of the books. And they are good movies too and that helps.

Well i just noticed, Neil, that in your poll about best post ROJ SW score, Peter Bernsteind did score both Ewok movies. Couldnt it be that Peter was working with ROJ sheets to see if he could use something for those movies? Or that the guy saw he was working in a cue called ewok something and thoguht 'thats return of the jedi'. Where the ewoks movies released that separately date-wise that there could not be mistake?
