  6. Alas now i regret not playing the MOH games when i had it. Foolish me, missing what sounds like great peices of music.
  7. Yup. And I think this was a very weird decision too, because it's neither easier nor is it cheaper, than to use Frank Oz's puppet. The only reason seems to be that they needed a digital Yoda for the Dooku/Yoda fight at the end. And perhaps to get some continuity with the rest of Lucas's ToonTown. - Marc, who read somewhere that Lucas said the poor acting was "on purpose" and "part of the style". Well at least he recognizes bad acting.
  8. I'm lost! It's a bad thing that the score is only 47 minutes? HPFAN_2- Feeling like a newbie all over again.
  9. Hey what can i say i like hp more than i do lotr.
  10. Hedwig's theme on the harry potter trailer. I envy you guys. You all have been a fan for decades ive been a fan for about two or three years.
  11. So far the Battle For Helm's Deep is the only "Epic Battle" were the filmmakers actually made me forget i was watching expensive CGI, instead of thousands of extra's dressed in Uruk make-up. Who has seen TTT 10 times in less then a year, and thinks that is not enough. Only 10 times? Ive seen it twice and i think that's more than enough.
  12. The Pixar movies have great story line and you forget the intricate detail and painstaking work they do on the cgi to make the fur (monsters inc.) water (finding nemo) look perfect. I think a movie can be penalized more for having crappy cgi than for having lots of cgi. Case in point The Matrix reloaded, the part with the two trucks and the hundreds of smiths looks very fake. Thats the main thing i rememebr from that movie and everything else i've either forgotten or don't care to actually rememebr.
  13. "The Wachowski brothers are in, and Mr. Spielberg isn't?" Proof right there that the list is crap.
  14. Like Mr. breathmask said cgi should be used as a last resolve. Take the Harry Potter films for instance things like quidditch can't be done any other way. In the second movie the cg in the quidditch sequence was great it realy wowed me. Ive recentley took it upon my self to adapt Anthony's On A Pale Horse. And i was thinking that there are something that just can't be done without cgi. Now while some directors would make Death purley out of cgi i would use it as a last resort. The word Special effects i think has been misinterpreted as cgi. The giant animatronic t-rex in Jurrassic Park is special effects, the alien in Alien is also special effects. You rarley see things like that anymore. Example attack of the clones. I though the puppet Yoda was great but the cgi one sucks. I think all directors should consider the plot first when they face sequences that can't be conceived without cgi then it is the right time to use it. But using it to compencate for the fact that the plot is garbage and the acting is stale is wrong. Speilberg uses cgi the way it's suppose to: as a last resort. In Minority Report the cgi was brilliant but i didn't pay attention to it because it wasn't being thrown at me like alot of movie now does. Instead i stuck with the plot and when i watched it again i realized the special effects. Thats the proper way to use it. I also think a good way to test if the cgi is used properley is to take the cgi out then see if it has the same impact and greatness.
