Tim Burden, famous radio and film music host has interviewed Mike Matessino in London, England. The first excerpt of this interview laced with John Williams music.
Film Music Historian and Soundtrack Producer Mike Matessino speaks with me about the recent La La Land Records 35th Anniversary release of John Williams' E.T. The Extra Terrestrial. Discovering an exciting alternate take of a key scene and cue is one item discussed.
The full-length interview is coming soon .
P.S. A clip about the equally brilliant CE3K will be posted this weekend.-Tim Burden on Facebook.

My copy has shipped! Anyone else ordered their copy?

Unlike last time where we had big coverage of the scoring sessions with Williams; I havent seen any Williams coverage on the making of the film as of now or Williams talking about it.
-
Now for the hard part..getting those discs lodged out of TITANIC without damaging 'em!
Unfortunately my 6 cd title package will come next month (pending from SAE bec they are awaIting CE3K)

Sure but it's almost certainly Haab.
Its the same sound balance as the rest of the Battlefront II recording. But it is most probably Gordy Haab.

There is another clip of music being posted on Youtube which apparently comes up the DLC segment of BATTLEFRONT II.The Music playing when you you choose your Side for the ""The Last Jedi Season". Could it be TLJ album excerpt? Shall I post it here? The music sounds interesting.

Here is the new STAR WARS 40TH Anniversary Vinyl Coffee Book unboxing

Gordy Haab's music from BATTLEFRONT II Game which I finished playing on ps4 last week reminds me of being orchestrated mostly in the idiom of Williams' THE PHANTOM MENACE score. So this does'nt sound anything like that score at all. Its more in sync with THE FORCE AWAKENS orchestrations. I'm beginning to think its Williams..!

I see now that azahid doesn't have his set yet.
To answer the original question: Yes, the vision motif is the choral motif that opens TV Reveals.
Exactly right!
Thanks Jay. yes Mine hasnt shipped. Pending at SAE.

Could be the real McCoy -the ending sounds fugue like.

I read those posts but my question is not answered. What is 'The Vision' motif?
-
Can anyone tell me about the cue "Main Title and The Vision", disc 1 track 1 on this set ? Is the latter cue 'The Vision' thematically is same as 'TV Reveals' choral motif ? ( I haven't seen the film in a while and I don't want to spoil the fun by watching it just now but until I've gotten my set.) Just curious exactly what this part is.
The original OST Cue of 'Main Title and Mountain Visions' is one of my favourite cues on that album. So I'm thinking the new presentation of 'Main Title and Visions' sort of parallels it in some way (and ofcourse omitting 'Roy and Gillian on the Road')

Whatddyamean 'Unobtrusive? Williams music should be just Obtrusive as possible and bombastic!

Looks like there's a review of the set on youtube today
Can't see it.. is it down?
-
Nice. But I would play 'The Motorcade' cue at the very spot followed by JFK Theme and the above mentioned cue.
-
This Poll should be re-titled as The Next Matessino/Spielberg/Williams Collaboration.
Technically speaking Both JFK and THE TOWERING INFERNO are already on Matessino's and LLL's agenda for 2018 as far as we know.
HOOK is one those big releases that deserves another redux with Matessino magic. Hope they can find the the complete material and make it happen.
Also WAR OF THE WORLDS is another big SCI FI opus that deserves the regal treatment.

I got a package in the mail today, but they sent me the wrong CDs. Instead of Close Encounters I got Apocalypse Now and The Bad Seed, neither of which I ordered. or care about even slightly.
They did at least successfully send me Die Another Day.
Looks like somebody else also got the wrong package too!

Did anyone order via SAE? I've placed an order there but don't know when they will have it in stock and ship.

I think the next Star Wars Vinyl issue will most likely be THE LAST JEDI.
