CharlieSherry 0
Hello everybody!I want to know a thing. I want to know which is your favourite score composed by Williams nominated for an academy award. So, I have posted a different topic for each decade.I have not put the songs and the adaptation (they would come in other different post)At the end I would take the two more voted scores of each decade as well as the most voted song and adaptation score.So...Choose your best and tell why!My favourite isStar Wars becauseis great! JoeinAR 1,949
I went with Superman, but love Jaws, Close Encounters, Star Wars and the Towering Inferno. I could have voted for any of those.Glad to see some think Towering Inferno is good to.
Romão 2,276
Star Wars, one of the most important scores ever (if not the most). Towering inferno is great too (thanks once again to Miguel Andrade).

tpigeon 3
The 70's is nothing compared to the 80's and 90's. well maybe not the early seventies, but surely the late seventies contain some of JW's absolute finest work... Superman, Star Wars, Close Encounters, Jaws. Ted, who loves a lot of JW's early seventies work as well.

Morlock 11
It came down to Superman or Star Wars, and since I already voted for TESB in the other poll it went to Superman.

Uni 306
For "favorite," I'd have to go with Superman. But I've always felt a tug of regret that CE3K was released in the same year Star Wars was. If not for that, I think Williams would have six Oscars today, and each one well deserved. And that's what I said.- Uni
