Bunny Of Doom (also known as Leporellus Fatum)

oh, that's a common misconception, an old taxonomic error, when it was believed it and the Hare of destiny (Leporellus fatus, Bruneus 2941-Third Age) was the same species.

Its accepted names and subspecies, forged by the great sage and naturalist Radagasius Bruneus are as follow:

Order: Lagomorpha

Family: Leporidae

Giant Rabbit of Doom, Cunicolagus fatalis gigas (Bruneus, 2941-Third Age).

The bigger subspecies, can magically tame people and order them to seem the rabbits are used as beast of burden (ie: towing sleds)

Lesser Rabbit of Doom or Bunny of Doom, Cunicolagus fatalis minor (Bruneus, 2941-Third Age)

A smaller subespecies, found commonly in the Mordor plains surrounding the outskirts of Mount Doom. Very agressive and territorial.

There are two other related genus, but need to be studied more. Bruneus believes they may be gentle looking, magically altered Rabbits of Doom that work as spies for the Dark lord. It is yet to be seen if the magic is revesible at the will of the Dark Lord and therefore break havoc within the lands of the free people.

Forest bunny of Doom, Sylvilagus fatalis (Bruneus, 2941-Third Age)

Similar in size to the Lesser, they live in the forests of the elven and hobbit lands. They live above ground, making their shelter in the grass. Can climb to small trees.

Cave bunny of Doom, Oryctolagus fatalis (Bruneus, 2941-Third Age)

Similar in size and look to the Forest, but with a different behaviour. The Cave bunnies live underground, excavating burrows. They are found in the Dwarven Kingdoms and near the biggest cities of Gondor.

Other related species,

Hare of destiny, Leporellus fatum (Bruneus, 2941-Third Age)

Hares of destiny are close cousins to the Rabbits of doom. It's external appearance though, is different. They are longer legged and eared, with a less 'round' silouette and a more slender built. The run faster and can make runs over longer periods. Unlike the bunnies, they are mortal beings and can be hunted and eaten. The hunt of the Leporellus is no small feat for even the experienced hunter. They inhabit all Middle earth, but it's number are scarce since they are solitary animals that do not live in family groups. Hares of destiny live on the ground, nesting in the grass.

Coney of terror, Caprolagus terribilis (Bruneus, 2941-Third Age)

The Caprolagus is more related to the genus Leporellus than either to Oryctolagus or Sylvilagus, it is in fact a small hare. It lives in the forests of Ithilien, in Gondor territory. Its biology and habits are very similar to that of the hares. It can also be hunted, and it is far more easier.

That said here is my fact,

12. Gwaihir the windlord became king of the great eagles when his father tried to hunt a Rabbit of doom.

37. Bunnies of Doom are capable of breaking down the psyche and the physical form of even the greatest of foes through the means of telepathic communication (see #38 and #39).

38. When Denethor looked into the Palantir, Sauron showed him glimpses of the bunnies of Doom in raw form. It was later reported that the old steward was driven insane and jumped off the 1000 foot peak of Minas Tirith amidst a raging siege against his city.

39.The Bunnies of Doom are responsible for turning this:

40. Bunnies of doom are the ancestors of a far more (in)famous creature known as Lepus hemiptera (Bugs Bunny). Lepus hemiptera is a very dangerous creature that has wreaked havoc across the continents after the destruction of Middle-earth.

41. Bunnies of Doom are so scary, people just won't talk about them in public. And this means many historical events are really their doing. Here is a fresh photo of the White Council heading to Dol Guldur but do you see the Bunnies of Doom? No, but believe me, they were there. And you don't see them because it was all hushed up by governments as Bunnies of Doom do as they like and people shut the f**k up about it!

Actually Radagast looked first like this before his fatal encounter with the Bunnies of Doom. This is the last known photo taken before the tragic event:

44. Bunnies of doom takes on many shapes and sizes, and can even take on human disguises, but they are particularly renowned for impersonating beautiful women. Common belief in Middle-earth was that any woman encountered alone, especially in the dark of night, could be a bunny of doom. Here's one common disguise they always assumed:

48. The Dwarves tell no tale; but even as mithril was the foundation of their wealth, so also it was their destruction: they delved too greedily and too deep, and disturbed that from which they fled, Durin's Bane...The Bunnies of Doom...

Gandalf first found out about the Bunnies of Doom after finding remnants of their feces in Dol Goldur. After further searching through the records of the dwarves of old, that the Balrog was merely a tool used to cover for Durin's true bane. He realized there were older and fouler things than orcs and balrogs in the deep places of the world.

When the Bunnies of Doom realized that Gandalf found out their true identity. They took action. It was not the Balrog that struck Gandalf. Nay. Gandalf the Grey fell into the abyss at the merciless hands of the Bunnies of Doom!

Gandalf first found out about the Bunnies of Doom;

Untrue!

Gandalf is a Maia, whereas the Bunnies of Doom are Higher Ainur, therefore he would have known of them beforehand.

50. The Wolf that ate Beren's hand was a Bunny of Doom in disguise.

51. Luthien may or may not have been a Bunny of Doom.

Doh! Well let's just say the that after the balrog incident happened, several bunnies of doom took up residence in the pits of Moria as well :P

Incorrect as dictated by fact 1.

The Bunnies of Doom were here before Illuvatar. And thus their existence went under the radar of even the greatest of the Ainur. There was no way Gandalf could have foreseen their true horror as their true nature was unknown to both the Maiar and the Ainur.

53. Bunnies Of Doom Facts can often contradict themselves. It is due to the very eerie and mystical nature of the Bunnies

54. Bunnies of Doom Facts can never contradict themselves.

Depends on what you consider the World.

If it Arda is the world, then the Ainur would be, in fact, before the creation of the world as well, heck, they helped build it.

59. The forest bunnies of doom Gollum brings to Frodo to eat at Ithilien were corpses he found in the forest. Probably the cause of a territorial dispute between different bunny family clans. Its obvious Gollum could not have killed them.

60 Those were not bunnies of doom that Gollum brought to Frodo, those were a spinoff called "The Conies of Terror" which are a second generation copy of the "Bunnies of Doom", right beneath the "Hares of Destiny"

Ok, now i have to write radagast's notes about them:

Other related species,

Hare of destiny, Leporellus fatum (Bruneus, 2941-Third Age)

Hares of destiny are close cousins to the Rabbits of doom. It's external appearance though, is different. They are longer legged and eared, with a less 'round' silouette and a more slender built.
