1) What is your favorite Star Wars action cue*, in terms of soundtrack listening experience only?

2) What is your favorite Star Wars action cue*, in terms of how it fits the scene and matches the onscreen action?

3) What is your favorite Indiana Jones action cue, in terms of soundtrack listening experience only?

4) What is your favorite Indiana Jones action cue, in terms of how it fits the scene and matches the onscreen action?

For me its:

1) The Last Battle (ANH)

2) The Asteroid Field (ESB)

3) Scherzo For Motorcycle and Orchestra (LC)

4) The Desert Chase (ROTLA)

* Prequels included, though I doubt they will get any votes.

This is refreshing.

1) Love Pledge and the Arena, matched by Battle of Yavin

2) Battle of Hoth

3) The Desert Chase

4) The Desert Chase

-Ross, who thinks The Desert Chase cannot be matched not topped by ANY action cue anywhere.

1) Into the Trap from ROTJ. Does that fit as action? I would think so. Just such an intense piece of music, all original with only a hint of a familiar theme.

2) Well, the above, and also Sail Barge Attack. Classic Star Wars, all out action, Luke kicks EVERYONE's ass. Across the Chasm from ANH is also quite good.

3) Truck chase from Raiders. 'Nuff said, I believe.

4) Tank sequence from Last Crusade. One of my favorite action sequences ever, and since the soundtrack's version is all screwed up, or at least it's screwed up in the movie, whatever, I didn't pick it for #3. Also really dig the music from TOD when Shorty and Willie are in the cart and Indy is catching up to them on that rope. Very exciting stuff. Shanghai Streets is too.

I'll go with:

*Map Room at Dawn- Indiana Jones

*Kamino Storm- (Titled as Main Title/ Ambush on Coruscant on the Attack of the Clones cd)

*Zam the Assassin- Star Wars

*I like the Finale (on the Attack of the Clones cd) but its not very action-oriented.

I do love the ominous tone it provide for the movie though.

*Raiders March- Indiana Jones
