Ajax (or Aias in Greek) was one of the great warriors of the Greek army, second only to Achilles. He was the son of Telamon, king of Salamis.

Apparently, there was another Ajax present at the battle of Troy. This was the son of Oileus, king of Locris.

Both men have stories that take place after the battle of Troy, the former having two different stories about his death. And to make it even more complicated, both characters were probably the same guy in "real" life.
