  1. Possibly. I'm assuming that they will tackle politics like they always have, but it won't involve some "grand" storyline this time, like with say the member berries or the election.
  2. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/south-park-takes-white-nationalist-movement-season-21-1037559 "South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone told The Hollywood Reporter they hoped to return to more traditional one-off storylines with the kids this season, rather than get too heavy with politics".
  3. I'm so glad they're going back to single episode stories these season. After the story arcs of the past two years, it's very well needed.
  4. Riker eventually spent five years on the enterprise sitting on his ass and just giving directions, and not being directly involved with much action. Shit like that makes your stomach expand a bit.
  5. The last two seasons of Enterprise were pretty good, and then they shit the bed with a "f you the fans" finale. It's the least surprising thing ever though.
  6. "No themes just wallpaper music" - in some ways Berman could see into the future, regarding music as a means of supporting the show & not much else. I will say it's a bit ironic that the "rip-off / Star Trek" parody The Orville has more of a classic feel with its use of music, then the actual Star Trek show itself probably will though.
  7. I like the DS9 nine theme. This sounds okay, I would like to hear it on own though, but we all know the background music will be in typical modern fashion, and it'll just be like sound design there to support the show with nothing special about it, which isn't too far off from the music of DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, & the later seasons of Next Generation anyway. The main theme will be the only memorable part of the show, and it sounds like they sorta failed in that regard.
  8. Probably not. The character of Rey was largely the reason he came back for VII, and it very much showed in his music. Not that VII's music wasn't great, mind you.
  9. I'm sure Williams will have more time to do IX, TFA's process seems to be more of a result of last minute changes then anything. At least I hope that's what happens.
  10. Abrams is fine safe choice. Considering they need a new director fast, it makes sense they'd go to J.J. to finish off the trilogy too. Maybe he'll repeat ROTJ, but I can't complain.
  11. Master of The World - Les Baxter Super late reply, but I've digging into a lot of Baxter's work recently, and I'd recommend Master of The World, The Pit & The Pendulum, & The Dunwick Horror, the most out of what I've listen to so far.
  12. It is, but it's very adult. The main character is a washed-up "horse actor", and the series deals with some really heavy themes, like Stu already alluded to. I don't really recommend it to kids basically.
  13. He's the anti Bojack in terms of characterization (he's actually friendly & not supposedly miserable), but the more we've been around him, the more we've seen his personality challenged. I really appreciate it.
  14. Watching Bojack season 4. I'm on episode eight right now, and it's great. I really liked the underground episode, and I'm also really digging the Mr. Peanutbutter running for office subplot too.
  15. I even love it when they're able to make a narrative "one man show" films. All Is Lost was one of my favorite films of 2013, precisely because they were able to do so much with so little. Helps that Redford's performance is so good too.
  16. Secret Honor is terrific, and Hall is excellent, especially when it comes to carrying the entire film. A true one man show performance of a film.
  17. Awesome! Next the Oscars. It's between del toro & Nolan for the best director award at this point, unless a surprise winner comes out of the blue at this point.
  18. I'm pretty sure that Bond getting married plot is actually made up and very fake. I'll be impressed and puzzled if they actually use that as actual plot though. There's no need to remake OHMSS.
  19. Jungle Fever - I could do without that Davis's speech, and it gets preachy as usual, but there's some good stuff in here. A decent Lee film. - 7 / 10
  20. No, but I have listened to it. Aside from How To Steal A Million, it's probably my favorite of his 60's work, at least of what I have listened (not much I'll admit). Very much of its time (parts sound a bit jazzy at parts too), but there's a lot of great atmosphere coming from the music.
