Big John 3 Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 Here I am watching The Learning Channel's 10 biggest structures. They get to #8, the Crawler-Transporter, a huge multi-million pound crawler that moves the Space Shuttle (another 6 million pounds) from the hangar to the launch pad. And what music do they have playing? A very basic Imperial March. It was only a single instrument, I'm guessing a Cello, though I really don't know. And it was only enough notes to be recognizable.Anyway, chalk this one up to a John Williams Brushing His Teeth sighting.BigJohn
Morn 8 Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 Are you saying Williams brushes his teeth with a cello?
Big John 3 Posted June 20, 2002 Author Posted June 20, 2002 Are you saying Williams brushes his teeth with a cello? No, but apparently NASA does.At the end of the program, the #1 Biggest Structure in the world (I don't quite get how they were determining these), the Arecibo antenna in Puerto Rico, which is used by SETI and other astronomers, they played some of the music from E.T.John Williams Sighted Brushing His Teeth, yet again.BigJohn

Big John 3 Posted June 20, 2002 Author Posted June 20, 2002 Well, it's cuz I couldn't remember the quote from the MB topic "Famous" correctly. It's the one where some other board was saying that JWFAN.NET's people are reporting the superfluous, like "JOHN WILLIAMS SPOTTED DRINKING A SNAPPLE!" or something like that.Anyway, I couldn't remember the quote, so I came up with my own superfluousity. And there you have it.BigJohnBigBadJohnref: http://www.jwfan.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=351

Trumpeteer 304 Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 There's a guy that goes to the deli across the street from where I work every day. I swore for a long time it was John Williams...until I had proof it wasn't. I went up and asked him. Oddly, no one had ever said that to him before and he didn't know who Williams was. His name was Michael Sumpter. I see him once in a while and he laughs (at me, I'm sure).Jeff -- who will meet the real thing someday
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted June 21, 2002 Posted June 21, 2002 Jeff -- who will meet the real thing somedayBut then you will probably be asking if he's Michael Sumpter. Stefancos- who knows he will meet Williams someday...or visit his grave or urn.
