QMM 4 Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Sequel talk alreadyhttp://filmforce.ign.com/articles/568/568145p1.htmlNow Playing Magazine spoke with story supervisor Mark Andrews about the possibility of a second Incredibles. "More robots! Just to see Bob smash robots to pieces, hundreds of thousands of them, would be really fun!" But Andrews also says that sequel talk was kept to a minimum during the production. "We were so focused on just what this story was going to be [during production]. And the whole thing in the industry is 'leave them wanting more.'" Andrews worked closely with writer-director Brad Bird during the production. He says he was responsible for talking Bird into including the tease of a potential sequel at the end of the first film. "Brad's original ending was leaving them wanting more," says Andrews. "It's kind of like everything's going to be fine, and then zip, [it's over]. So we have that, and we added on [to it]. I said, 'Brad, we've got to end with another villain, and they've got to pull their shirt open and we go into the logo!' And he's like, 'Ahhhh, I don't know.' And I kept working on him, and finally he's like, 'Totally, this is what we need. Yeah, we totally need this kind of ending.' So we know the story continues. Whether it does or not really doesn't matter, but that they're back in action and that they've gotten out of this kind of dark ages of superheroism, that's the good thing."
David Coscina 4 Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Just got the Incredibles DVD and there's quite a bit of instances in the supplementry section that have the music and bits of Michael Giacchino talking about the score. There is even a 5 minute section on the music along.Transfer is awesome by the way the the extras are amazing!
John Crichton 4 Posted March 2, 2005 Posted March 2, 2005 Well Rogue will be happy. Has he gotten MGFan.net up and running yet?
David Coscina 4 Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 No. Not for a couple weeks. But I have connections.
Composer_Fan 2 Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I really liked the score for the Incredibles. I'll have to watch these DVD features.
Kendal_Ozzel 36 Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I think that finally pushed me over the fence. I'll definitely be buying the DVD now.
orrakul 0 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 Hadn't heard of Giacchino until I just saw "The Incredibles" DVD. I loved the score. It created such an excellent feeling for the film. Will certainly be keeping my eyes (and ears) open for more work by this guy.
Bart 0 Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 Hi all,Could it be that some William's music was used als temp track in the Incredibles? I think (I'm not thàt big of a fan) i hear Minority Report in this scene:http://www.pixar.com/featurefilms/incredib...ehind_pop5.html
Morlock 12 Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Kewl. Morlock- who would never have guessed that Bird would use MR, of all JW scores.
Luke Skywalker 2,386 Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 The music is very fitting for the scene. And they use the Soeeder bike sounds from ROTJ. And even the scout trooper death yell
