  1. I´m only familiar wit the Towering Inferno main titles and a couple of tracks. On the other way, I really like Munich. It´s two themes are some of my favourites.
  2. The Crystal motif (specially the main one) has grown on me a lot. I think it´s kind of a mix of the ark theme and the superman crystal motif. There are really cool renditions of it on the soundtrack, and i´m pretty sure it would work great on the film.
  3. I think "Snake Pit" is the opening, firstly because it comes after the three 'concert suites', and because it seems too early in the film and too joyous for it to be a significant plot moment... I suspect I´m not sure that the 2,3 and 4 tracks are concert suites... Why do you believe that, for the track titles?? Yes, it does It´s the Russian march You can hear it in Irina´s theme (1,45), the spell of the skull (1,28) and in ants! (2,02) and in the finale (3,57 and 4,47, between these two is the "terminal" music, I think it is only Williams playing with the russian´ style). It is probably my favourite new theme of the soundtrack, I want more of it!! I have said before that it sounds more to me like Summon of the Heroes at 4,30 (always love that part) Come on people, it is very soon to judge the soundtrack and compare with Williams´ other works, we have to wait a little and specially watch the film, and see how much music is left. But I have listened the soundtrack 4 or 5 times now, and the only thing I can say is that I don´t know how to rate it yeat, but I really like it. -The Raiders march sounds like never (altougth i would prefer to listen 5 more minutes of new music). -We have at least five new themes: two Crystal themes (the principal has grown a lot for me, it sound like a mix of the superman crystal motif and the ark one), Irina´s (good, not memorable), Mutt´s (very funny), the russian march (I love it!). -I really enjoy the use of Indys´s theme in the score (a lot of times, usually very "soft", I mean the only heroic one is the "travel map" one in The Journey to Akator). Love the new arragment at the end of the finale, it´s a same that the track it is not complete. -The action music is not amazing but it´s very funny to listen to it. -Man, I even like "the mariachi" style! lol, seriusly I think it is very catchy.
  4. Damn, I´m really enjoying it, sure it is a very funny listening! The sound quality is amazing, and the new stuff is great. I´m at Jungle Chase, the first to get played twice, maybe it is not the big action scene we were waiting for, but it is cool (and don´t you feel that started at 2,30 it has a very "Olympic" feeling??)
  5. lol! Damn, she is really hot, the bathroom scene in "40 Years Old Virgin" is GREAT!
  6. Yeah dramas are so boring!! Don´t get me wrong, I really like Spielberg and Williams effords on dramas, but come on, between a new historical drama or a new adventure... Gime leit motives!!
  7. It seems I am the only person, who actually immensly enjoy TPM. You are not alone! I like all the SW films, and TPM will be always special to me. 20 of august of 1999 (the day of its released here in Spain, damn! 3 months after it US release... Qui Gon was dead 3 months before in my soundtrack!! hehe) was one of the better days of my life. I saw the film two times (and really enjoyed it), with some friends and with my ligthsaber In Poland they released it one month later, so Qui-Gon was dead for 4 months here On the other hand, all the negative reviews made me lower my expectations considerably (not the excitement, however) and I was totally surprised that it wasn't that bad (at least from my point of view). I loved the characters (most of them ), I liked the plot, I was amazed by the music, though I knew the album for quite a long time and I was blown by the f-x. After 9 years I still like that movie very much. Much more than other prequels and even RotJ. Here in Spain the reviews were good, and the film was a very big hit. It is funny how with the pass of the years people started to garbage on it... I must be dead... Damn, I am like Malcom or Qui Gon, I hope some composer could make a "spoiler" track with my dead also... Of course the Original Trilogy is better, as ESB is better film that ROTJ, but why do you have to compare them? The movies (and the world) have changed a lot in 20 years...
  8. So it looks like Williams next score will be Tintin... It could be great! Altought I am european I have never read a comic about Tintin (have read most of Asterix) but a score about it looks for sure very much exciting that Lincoln or the Chicago drama
  9. Here in Spain we have the new dvds since the last monday. I have watched the new material, it is cool, less complete than the old ones (nothing about the music).

  11. and sell it when? I ordered it on internet because here the CDs always arrive a week or more after the release of the film... damn...well at least i'm paying 4.5 € less. I hope i'm not screwed... The official date is the 20 (as you can see in the web), but whith soundtracks you never know... I´m sure that it will come between the 20 and the 22
  12. New trailer: http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=44791 It looks fine to me, but it is not really really strange to see the Warner logo before the Lucasfilm one with Williams music over them...? I think I will miss the Fox theme at the begining...
  13. The soundtrack is coming to Fnac Madrid!! It could be any moment at the end of the next week or the begining of the next. Finally it will cost 16,95 euros, and in the first place we are going to recieve only 30 copies. I talked to my boss to receive more, because if not, they are going to sold out in two days...
  14. That´s the truth (well maybe, ESB is 5,5 stars hehe). And for me Superman and E.T. are also 5 stars. These four are my truly favourites
  15. Last Crusade for me. I really agree with what Luke said in the other topic.
  16. 5 stars, a truly masterpiece. I do enjoy and prefer ESB, but Episode IV started everything...
  17. Any news on when FNAC Spain will sell it in stores? i hope its not much later that the films release.... Don´t know the exactly day (I will know one day before) but it seems like the same week of the release of the movie, between the tuesday (22) and the friday (23)
  18. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=44750 The official poster (that looks great) says score by Kevin Kiner and ORIGINAL STAR WARS THEMES AND SCORE BY JOHN WILLIAMS...
  19. They really sound promising to me, I can´t wait for listen the full cd. I have some commentaries: 1. The Raiders march is usually like 3 minutes long, so you think the first track can have anything else? Like a new theme in the bridge (or old theme like Marion´s)? 2. I´m only have like 4 scores and a compilation of Jerry Goldsmith but the 2 track sounds very Goldsmith to me (it can use syntesizer or that strange instrument that was reported to be used in the score). 3. Adventures of Mutt, The snake Pit, A Whirl Through Academe sounds very funny! 4. Irina´s theme sound familiar to me, don´t know if it is because having listening to the midi hehe (and it looks like there is a saxo at the begining...) 5. Love the Raider motif in The Spell of the Skull. 6. The Journey to Akator sounds very "Doomed". 7. Jungle Chase sounds very good, give me more! 8. Ants! sounds like the second big action cue next to Jungle Chase. 9. The departure has one of the most "strange" renditions of Indy´s theme. 10. Marion´s theme! 11. The first half of the album sounds more entertaining that the second (but only judging 30 secods of each track...) P.D.: And it looks like master Williams is still ALIVE!
  20. Two more TV spots: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM4s5HKP03Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUKEc484vXU No new music...
  21. I am a big fan of "Batman Begins", and this sequel looks terrific. I can´t wait for see it. If there wasn´t coming a movie called "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Krystal Scull", "The Dark Knigth" would be the movie of the year.
  22. I saw Iron Man today (and really enjoyed it, very funny and entertaining and very good F/X) but in my theatre there were no signs of the Indy trailer (only "Indredible Hulk" and "Hancock") so I think it depends of the cinema (they even cut the surprise scene at the end of the credits...thanks there is youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbTK18ilN4U )
