  1. Yeah, I would have preferred the classic fade-out ending of Reunion in the Tent over the transition to that Raiders March bit taken from Flight to Freedom.
  2. There's nothing in the LTP score which matches Doug's description (it should be in between Don't Touch That and Discovering the Script, but there's nothing to be found there). I went to the BP concert yesterday, and it was an awesome experience! It was my first time hearing JW's music performed live, so I was really stoked, and Brossé and the BP definitely delivered beyond my expectations. One minor quip: I thought the trumpets sounded a bit dull at times, definitely not as piercing (edit: or crisp, perhaps) as I would have liked. Maybe it had something to do with the venue or their placement in the orchestra (they were sitting right in the middle of the orchestra—I was expecting them to be seated more to the right). Or perhaps it had something to do with the kind of trumpets used. This is just a minor quip though, as I was thrilled throughout the whole concert—hearing JW's iconic score performed live (in particular all that ballsy stuff for the brass section!) really made me feel things I'd never felt before. Brossé is a masterful conductor too, as he manages to let the music breathe (much like JW himself) by ignoring some of the less important hitpoints, still hitting all of the more important ones in the end.
  3. Oh, never mind, I see. Yeah, I've never seen ads on Netflix either. I did find this: https://www.techhive.com/article/815640/netflix-ad-supported-plan-price-release-date.html
  4. I think The Ferry Scene can be heard at some point too, but I might be misremembering
  5. Those breakdowns are still a little vague, no? They don't exactly tell you what musical material was contributed by whom for each cue individually.
  6. You might want to check this page too, which discusses the possibility of the goods not having been declared correctly by the seller: https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/documents
  7. I don't think I've ever actively hidden my interest in film scores. In fact I feel like life would be easier if people didn't hide (parts of) themselves behind facades all the time. My best friend is into metal, but we get along nevertheless and often talk about our respective interests.
  8. The abusive use of that term is becoming a pet peeve of mine
  9. Williams' favorite instrument is undoubtedly the boom-tzz
  10. https://youtu.be/F74vEpGbDk4&t=37s My parents are watching A Perfect Murder and this was playing while I walked by. Very kickass in a Goldsmith kind of way with the quartal harmony and—if I'm not mistaken—mixed meter.
  11. @bigjimwilson I don't know how strict the mods are in this regard, but the forum rules state that "copyrighted audio of more than 30 seconds in length cannot be uploaded onto our servers and saved as an attachment to your post."
  12. I don't think this has been mentioned already, but I noticed it too! Isn't it both? It starts with the Main Title, then segues into The Arrival which underscores the arrival of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan at the Naboo blockade, but then switches to Naboo Palace underscoring the arrival at Coruscant.
  13. You're welcome. I'm not sure about Voller Returns and To Morocco—if the former was written for one of the New York scenes (this would make sense given the title of the track), it should probably be put before To Morocco as @crumbs noted.
  14. You can always add &t=xmxxs to the YouTube link yourself, I've done this a couple of times and it always seems to work
  15. I don't go to the cinema very often, but when I do go, there's always a bunch of people who choose to stay during the end credits (including yours truly of course). My stepfather didn't even complain last time when we went to see DOD together, which I consider an improvement.
  16. You mean this? Just kidding! I agree, that was a pretty cool moment.
  17. Wouldn't the sound reflect the type of timpani and recording techniques used rather than the musician playing them?
  18. Mostly eight-stave in the past, in fact, and mostly sixteen-stave as of late (TFA, for instance). Extrapolating this trend, I'd wager the DOD cues written by Williams himself also began their lives as sixteen-stave sketches. @Trope Could you share a link to the YouTube video?
