  1. I was thinking about it yesterday and honestly I'd be happy with just these expansions: SW Prequels The Patriot Born on the Fourth of July The Eiger Sanction
  2. Have only listened to the re-recorded themes of both, although I do own the V/S GTR and the Prometheus Swarm. Have only seen The Swarm a long time ago on TV and really can't remember it.
  3. At this stage I'll settle for expanded prequel scores (even UEs of Eps II and III would have been better than nothing). Considering that Disney appears to be pretending the prequels don't exist, I'm not hopeful. For the OT I can live with the Anthology (for sound quality) and the SEs (for completeness). For the ST I am satisfied with the OSTs and the FYCs. I'll be shocked if Disney does anything else other than more silly vinyl releases.
  4. Not sure but I have an MP3 of Harry Connick Jr. singing the song from an old Evening at Pops concert. Which album is the Heptalogy? Is this the only recording available or are there others? Which compilation? I've always assumed this to be the End Title even though it is titled Prelude on the comp. Is it an official JW concert version though? Has it ever been performed? What about the one on the McNeely comp which sounds more like the Main Title? Aisle Seat Is this the same arrangement as the iTunes exclusive track on the Kunzel Great Film Fantasies comp? And the Pedroni. And the Wakao. Was the Shaham Devil's Dance arranged by Williams?

  6. With all these shipping delays the studios/labels should grant temporary download rights to the boutique labels to permit customers to download high resolution files of their purchases while waiting for things to normalise. Yes, I know it will never happen.
  7. It is lossless but I've also never really minded DVD's lossy multi-channel sound, probably because my equipment is mid-range stuff quite a few years long in the tooth. But then I don't have a problem with lossy MP3 or AAC music files either, as long as I can pay a fraction of the price of a pressed CD for them (which is usually the case). The big attraction with Blu-ray is the hi-def PQ. My blast-from-the-past Laserdisc purchases (these all have fantastic scores)
  8. It's never bothered me, but then the samples from the film tracks also sound great to my ears *shrug*
  9. What is the problem here? I'm asking because I'm unfamiliar with the SQ on this title.
  10. "If they happen, I would expect to see them on Walt Disney Records." That's a big if. Disney hasn't even bothered to continue their Legacy Collection for what are supposedly their signature cinematic works. And I'd imagine it all revolves around one thing. Money. At least we have the Anthology, and the ST FYCs. Sadly we never got UEs for II and III.
  11. I do listen with headphones and I think Intrada's Rocketeer sounds incredible!
  12. Jaws 4K review https://thedigitalbits.com/item/jaws-45th-4k-uhd This extract is from the Blu-ray.com review: Music remains largely the property of the front channels but does amplify as John Williams' iconic notes become more forceful; the scene in chapter five when Brody witnesses the shark attack being one of the best, and earliest, examples of the score's powerful presentation, crescendoing with greater stretch and surround integration. It's a treat; never have the notes sounded so full, the low end so positive and complimentary, the engagement so sure and balanced. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jaws-4K-Blu-ray/265299/#Review
  13. I've never had any problem with Intrada's Horner expansions, whether or not MM was involved, so bring Willow on I say! As long as it's not brickwalled and doesn't use film stems.
  14. Still don't see the point of having TLJ isolated without the other two. Missed opportunity.
