  1. Sorry. Thought they might be released on Black Friday, announced earlier. (I haven't been here for five years, or even nearly that long.) Thanks for the info.
  2. Sounds like we might be getting something by Williams from LLL before the year is out. When are Black Friday titles usually announced?
  3. As of this moment, in the United States there is only one edition of the TFA soundtrack available. However, it appears that in some other countries there are two editions currently available. Amazon UK lists both standard and deluxe versions, and Universal Music (which seems to be the official distributor of the TFA soundtrack in the UK) lists two editions: "OST Standard/Deluxe Packaging" and "OST Standard." I live in the US, and I was tempted to purchase the TFA soundtrack on Amazon right away on September 4. But I have decided to wait and see whether there will be more editions before I buy it.
  4. It will be the best score of the 2010's! If we're being truthful, there's really no other composer out there right now at even near the level of Williams. Even if TFA isn't good by Williams standards, it will probably still be the best of 2015 and one of the best, if not the best, of the 2010s.
  5. I doubt it. That poster is the co-owner of LLL, I believe. I doubt he'd know what's going on at Intrada.
  6. Make what you will of this (from the FSM thread "HOME ALONE - OST reissue by Sony coming Oct 23"): It's from a poster who I believe is quite reliable for LLL news. Lost In Space had already been announced when the above quote was posted, so the poster must have been referring to something else.
  7. Might win the Academy Award for Best Original Soundtrack Album Cover Design . Seriously, though, whether or not this is the final cover (and I hope it's not) seeing this gives me chills. Less than two months till December 18!
  8. I'm embarrassed I didn't realize that. Yeah, since the hashtags say Indiana Jones it's likely not from TFA.
  9. @JohnBoyega We've got one too! #JohnWilliams #IndianaJones @IndianaJones pic.twitter.com/RnLrdeIv6R— Frank Marshall (@LeDoctor) October 29, 2015
  10. Yeah, now Williams gets to start scheming which parts of the score he will leave off the soundtrack.
  11. The video was taken at the GLSEN Respect Awards, and, on Getty Images, all of the photos of Abrams at the GLSEN Respect Awards are dated October 23. I would guess that was Abrams's media availability day and that's the day the video was taken, although that's just speculation.
  12. Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi were both nominated, but none of the prequel scores were. Have the rules changed since the original trilogy?
  13. Watched Bridge of Spies today. It's a wonderful film; Spielberg is really a genius. I'd listened to Newman's score several times before watching the film, and, apart from a few tracks, I hadn't really enjoyed it that much. But watching the film gave me a new appreciation for the score. I thought the score worked really well in the film, and listening to it again on the soundtrack after seeing the movie, I rather like it.
  14. What rules have actually changed? There's nothing in the official Academy rules that the entire score has to be made available, just the full cue sheets and a selection of music from the film. (Also, what's weird is that there appears to be a maximum length of 3 minutes per cue, unless I'm misunderstanding the rules.) On another note, I love that one of the track durations on Scott Bomar's FYC site is listed as "1:73." You can find the relevant rule (Rule 15) at http://www.oscars.org/sites/default/files/88aa_rules.pdf, starting on page 20.
  15. Williams had at least some involvement with the second teaser, according to this article (http://www.afm.org/im/john-williams):
