  1. Same here, I'm subscribed but never got anything from them, not even as spam.
  2. Generating hype is what's the point, methinks. You not knowing it'll only ship that late is important for you ordering early.
  3. Bugger, it'll be two weeks from now when the first people start getting it? Two more weeks of analysing and speculating instead of being provided with actual info in a few days? And that's if everything goes well, E.T. and Alien 3 were delayed twice, no?
  4. E.T., Return of the King The Philosophers' Stone Live to Projection opened up some deep wells too, having not seen it for years at that point.
  5. I said enough on the subject, I don't want this thread to devole to the other one's level. Overall I think WB initially didn't trust the HP train to keep on going, so they wanted to ride the wave and get returns on their rights investment as quickly as possible. Therefore 1 and 2 had to be rushed into production, and once the kids were cast there was no going back. Seemingly there was no proper time to discuss future book plans with Rowling, come up with a consistent visual and cinematic language for the series in advance with maybe preselecting directors and locking down a good Hogwarts design (I love what 3 did to it, and Stuart Craig (production designer) also said one of their biggest regrets on 1 was not coming up with an iconic enough design and silhouette for Hogwarts, and there was no time or drive to change it for 2), 1 and 2 and 3 had to be shot as quickly as possible while the kids still were kids with overlapping pre-and postproduction schedules, 1 and 2 were both made in a year with outsourced and often crappy effects shots and uninspired scripts and camera work.
  6. I don't eat out much, only drink what's at home, don't smoke, don't party About 110€ is the most I'd be comfortable to pay for one thing, maybe 120 if we're pushing it. If I pass my BSc final exam on Dec. 12, I'll probably order it for however much it costs from the joy rush though.
  7. Less than 125+17 goddamn Euros! THAT's overpriced! I don't even know how they calculated that.
  8. According to the cue list, the final Diagon Alley in the sessions was 4:36, the new track is 4:50. Could be! In the movie Hermione's Feather is tracked under the bricks moving.
  9. I'm waiting on LLL's answer on whether they'd ship it with DHL if I asked in the order comments to decide when and how I'll get it. If not, it's waiting for MusicBox to drop their price.
  10. 5 has some very good music hidden among the slog! The OST has everything you need. I "grew up" with the books, started reading them when I was 4 years old and finished the last one when it came out when I was 11. I had many of the old Lego sets befor I've seen the movies (I was absolutely terrified of the first 2 minutes of PS and we had to shut it off), but soon the first 3 movies became an important part of it, too, they had great atmosphere and casting and represented their stories well (probably too well in the case of 1-2), which was all I wanted from an adaptation as a kid. I was scared of the Voldy scene in 4, I watched its extras more than the movie itself. Then after the books finished I was starting to get cynical enough to not expect the subsequent movies at all, I already got my finale and closure. I liked 5 fine enough, hated 6 (and watched it at a time when I couldn't care less about it), wasn't a big fan of 7 and absolutely despise 8. Those last 3 never got another watch and I'm not really planning to give them one. So that's about my disillusionment with HP, I still adore the books and reread the series occasionally. Got halfway through the first Fantastic Beasts when I decided at the big dull CG creature showreel that I'd rather shut this off and forget it than fall asleep. Most of what I heard of the fanfiction play's plot and characters is absolute garbage. Rowling making up canon and character traits randomly after the fact to stay relevant and PC, or straight up retconning half of it for fanservice seconds is ridiculous.
  11. I'm definitely eager to get to the days when Tintin and War Horse can be expanded!
  12. I'm guessing the final one. 4 of those alternates is just rehearsals for a problematic bit.
  13. It's a lot more disturbing to know long-banned (with good reason) ex-members are also watching.
  14. Messing with the EQ in poweramp helped make it quite a bit more tolerable, I used MFBR+the finale for last night's biking.
  15. Yes, it seems to be the Dufay Ensemble Cadogan piece, found on the album in Hagrid The Professor, originally underscoring the deleted scene where Cadogan takes over the Fat Lady to guard the Gryffindor Common Room. Guess Cuarón got rid of Cadogan almost entirely (he's in the background when the Fat Lady goes missing) but liked the music enough that he added the knight ghosts at the end, too? Also if I recall correctly the end credits in the film doesn't have Buckbeak's Flight but the similar portion of Rescuing Sirius - it has a different ending. Or at least it transitions to it from Flight. Someone mocked up the original Firebolt, and also recreated the intended credits with Hedwig's Theme a few days ago.
  16. Good question, somebody should tally up all the source music and see if the Dufay Cadogan fits in that track. Lupin's Departure + the album Cadogan play for about 40-50 collective seconds in the film, so D7/07 could house it and possibly 7m7 Ext. Whomping Willow, too - except if 7m9 Lupin's Departure was longer and got snipped down in the film. Or we just wait a few days, since we know it's in there somewhere and that's what matters.
  17. Cadogan appearances in the cue list: 3mCA Riding the Hippogriff (Buckbeak's Flight)3m5-5A Bonding with Hippogriff and Sir Cadogan Again (the slower version with additional percussion, doesn't seem to be here in the new edition) 3m5B Kids Inspect Newspaper etc (The Grim / The Newspaper - first half of which is probably 2m10 You Have the Grim) 3m12 Revised The Great Hall Ceiling (The Big Doors and the Great Hall Ceiling)3m13 Sir Cadogan (for Dufay Ensemble & Percussion) (the deleted scene I guess, probably the faster (album) version, this cue is not here in the new edition, doesn't fit into either neighbour)4m2 Quidditch 2004 (Page 394 and Quidditch, Third Year) I have no idea what The Courtyard and Sir Cadogan is in the tracklist, but "Sir Cadogan Again" could mean there's an earlier cue that doesn't have it in the name, or just that it was written later. Courtyard and Cadogan is placed between these: 2m9+10 Rainy Nights, Dementors, and Birds (same name)2m10 You Have the Grim (not here in the tracklist, probably placed later in The Grim / The Newspaper)3m1+2 Double Trouble on the Hill (The Hippogriff Lesson? aka Hagrid the Professor) So: The Courtyard and Sir Cadogan may be 3m5-5A Bonding with Hippogriff and Sir Cadogan Again, the slow film rendition placed earlier, replacing 2m10 You Have the Grim which was moved to later in its place. No idea where 3m12 Sir Cadogan (faster version) is, but I don't know how long Lupin's Departure is, that's probably where I'd put it since it was moved there in the film.
  18. The other one is somewhere else? The album version plays before the Firebolt, so it could be the end of Lupin leaving or in front of the credits cue.
  19. Support in what way? If you don't pay for it, I don't see how wanting to hear more of his music is disrespectful and if an official release doesn't come out for decades, that's not your fault.
