  1. My first album was "The Mummy", then "Hollow Man", then "Alien" and "Gremlins". I have never listened to "Mulan" and "Lionheart". The only essential scores of Jerry Goldsmith I do not own yet, but that's 1. because the OST of "Mulan" is real shit with 7 tracks and I'm waiting for an expansion by Intrada or La-La Land and 2. because "Lionheart" is OOP and I'm waiting for a re-release by Varese Sarabande.
  2. The next 5 years will be like the 5 Goldsmith years from 2010 to 2015, regarding expansions.
  3. "Legend" is awesome, but nothing will ever beat "Alien"! Ridley Scott did really not know what he has got. "Alien" is musically complex and maybe the other score I mentioned is the only one that has the same atmospheric density. Additionally I have to mention the brilliant and unique instrumentation of the xenomorph which consists of conches, a serpent and a didjeridoo. "Alien" is a score that has EVERYTHING Jerry Goldsmith is admirable for! "The Mummy" was my first Goldsmith score, but the OST has a weird gap of a certain chapter of the movie.
  4. 1. JOHN WILLIAMS 1. The Lost World: Jurassic Park 2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 3. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom 2. JERRY GOLDSMITH 1. Alien 2. Legend 3. Total Recall 3. ENNIO MORRICONE 1. The Mission 2. Once Upon a Time in America 3. The Great Silence I was never aware of the fact that Jerry Goldsmith is THAT popular on this forum! And I was never aware of the fact that "Twilight Zone: The Movie" is THAT recognized among his fans! I have to admit I have never been too amazed of the most popular John Williams scores "E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial", "Superman: The Movie" and "Jaws".
  5. That's why I emphasized that their deluxe treatment is not important because of their high quality but because of their OSTs' low quality I always considered Chain Reaction, Executive Decision, Air Force One, U.S. Marshals and Along Came a Spider to belong together, because they're all enjoyable auto-pilot scores that very well accompany GTA - especially with filler material from the deluxe editions! So hopefully Varese will complete its "Jerry on auto-pilot"-series.
  6. Yes, and additionally the OST is very lean. IMO Varese should begin with treating the scores that have those insufficient OSTs: Air Force One, Small Soldiers, U.S. Marshals, The Haunting and Along Came a Spider. They started with Chain Reaction and Executive Decision and hopefully they will continue with that.
  7. So it is not yet complete? By the way, now there's another day labels could recognize as reason to release new expansions: The Goldsmith Day (9th May)!
  8. Not really a desaster. The same reason why "Ave Satani" and the second half of "The Altar" where not swapped on the new Omen release.
  9. Okay, I understand, but I also want to see the CD design, for I'm never* gonna buy this version. *means definitely maybe
  10. Like "Dead Man's Chest"! Like "Dead Man's Chest"!
  11. In Germany the film has the shitty title "Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazars Rache" (= Salazar's Revenge).
  12. I'm sorry but I'm a completist and I HAD TO complete John Williams' dilogy-vs-polls or I couldn't sleep! Blame Display Name!
  13. On the picture where you can see the back of the set, there is also the spine visible. But it's thin like the spine of a 1 or 2 CD set. Will it be a flat packaging with 3 CDs squeezed in or a big box set? I already have the Kritzerland version, so photos please!
