  1. My review. Definitely a great time at the cinemas. https://dailyuv.com/feed/949657?location=norwich-vt
  2. Personally I thought Tintin was great, and a lot of fun. Had some excellent set-pieces too. However among Spielberg's recent films, Bridge of Spies is one that I really appreciate more, each time I watch it. There are so many great little touches that I notice on repeat viewing. I'm a fan of his "dramatic" period in general, though.
  3. The reactions are overblown to be expected, and all of the fanboy whining really annoyed me. Personally I loved it. I thought it was the best Star Wars film in decades.
  4. Kinda not surprised. Even with him being fired from IX, he originally pitched Jurassic World as a trilogy to Spielberg. It was probably envitable that he would return to the franchise.
  5. I'd be surprised if he can write anything as good as Williams Zelda theme.
  6. Ready Player One - I think I'm pretty much loved every minute of this. The cultural references never felt forced, and they served the plot-well. The scavenger hunt plot in particular reminded me a lot of The Goonies, which I dug, and the film really gave me a sense of fun and whimsy, something that seems to be sorely lacking in a lot of modern films. Not to mention the soundtrack was great. Plus aside from some small slow scenes, for a 2 and a half hour film, it went by relatively fast. The Berg is still the best. - 8 / 10
  7. They asked, and they got rocks and a swift kick of rejection, in return.
  8. Fantastic Mr. Fox is awesome. I'm really looking forward to Isle of Dogs. Anderson excels tremendously with stop motion.
  9. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - rewatch, though it was my first time watching the extended cut, which unsurprisingly goes on way longer then it should - 7 / 10
  10. The Death of Stalin - Great satire take on a serious subject, and hysterical as well. The whole cast is great, but Buscemi is stands out as the MVP. - 7.5 / 10
  11. Lincoln - Another rewatch confirmed it as one of my top ten Spielberg film. Extradionary film, and Williams' score and Day-Lewis's performance helps immensely. Love it. - 10 / 10 Most of us never really do, honestly.
  12. Father and Son - Moving Vietnam drama about a man and his son. Gets very emotional near the end. - 8 / 10
  13. The Shepherdess of The Glaciers - Saw this at a film festival. It's an interesting documentary about a woman who looks after sheep and goats. - 7.5 / 10
  14. Looks great. I'm looking forward to Cap Vs. Thanos.
  15. Taming The Horse - Chinese documentary about essentially a clearly messed-up individual. Kinda interesting, but the person who the documentary follows clearly has some issues. Mixed bag. - 6 / 10
  16. I think EON just has a routine, and relies on the usual same people for each film, especially when it comes to writing. It's no different then when say Richard Maibaum was co-writing or writing most of the Bond scripts back in the old days. It's basically like a team effort.
  17. If anything I'm interested in the fact that Purvis & Wade aren't working on the script this time. After the last few films, it's good to get some new blood on the series, so I approve of it. Hopefully Arnold returns to score too. It's almost criminal that he hasn't scored a film in years.
  18. Good theme. Sounds like classic 80's Silvestri to me.
