  1. Well, I guess it's not that obvious that Inside was recorded for the SE since it could also have been an unused cue, tracked into that scene in the SE. But besserwisser gotta besserwiss... ;)

Anyways, I knew JW recorded additional music containing When you Wish Upon a Star for the SE. I thought it was both Inside and the End Titles, but apparently the latter was already recorded. Were any other cues recorded for the SE?

All the cue combinations on disc one were how Williams wanted the music presented back in 1977 for his planned 2LP set and really improve the listening experience by replacing abrupt endings with segues to music that fits perfectly in tone.

And to those who aren't aware of it, I'd like to add that JW's '77 2LP program has had the End Titles replaced by the updated End Titles recorded for Spielberg's '80 Special Edition (Disc 1, track 23).

Well if I shot through a nearby wormhole and returned to Earth 10 seconds later, I'd arrive back in the year 2093, just in time to buy the complete recordings of every JW score ever recorded... well, except Prisoner of Azkaban, which Williams vetoed in his will.

Nice of him to release his complete scores for Star Wars Episodes X, XI and XII though (before Giacchino ruined the series from XIII onwards).

Unfortunately, I don't think you'll get them on CD in 2093...

Both composers were still very good with their worst efforts. That is something which not even Morricone could claim about his music.

Indeed, Morricone has written a lot of bad shit, and of course a few very good scores.

The Force Awaks will turn 2 yo in a few days... Already two years! Woo-oooo!!!! :cheer:

As you know, the FYC album was available very shortly after the release of the score, allowing the fans to make their own playlists very quickly.

Did you stick to the OST album?  Did you stick to the FYC Album?  Did you make your own playlist?

    Bespin wants to know!

On a related issue - the FYC Rogue One was for a short while available as mp3s at Disney. Now they're not. Anyone who'd like to share these with me? Just send a PM.

Hmmm...the scenario sounds familiar, but that may be because I'm thinking of the Goodwin/Walton debacle on BATTLE OF BRITAIN (which I included in the show). Unfortunately, I don't know if there was a previous composer on HENRY V. I do know that it also uses some existing music by other composers, but I think these were mostly classical pieces?

I love both of the scores to Britain, but it would be optimal if they used a bit more of Walton's music (and not only Battle in the Air), but I think they were right in replacing Walton's main theme with Goodwin's rousing fanfare-like theme.

Edit: Interesting: On IMDB I see that "some twelve minutes of Walton's score were used on the soundtrack" of Britain. I thought it was only the Battle in the Air cue.
